It's been holding up well in my 718 T

I used this cleaner/sanding pad/towels on it just like in the video + the seat cushions when I took those out and it did a great job:

I had that combo in my 991.2T. It looks great but make sure to get yourself a few cans of this and a stiff bristle brush:

Oh yes! Very familiar, and a huge fan of that stuff... My daily is a 2008 Cayenne GTS with the Alcantara Seat Centers... Ive been using this stuff on it and it has kept those seats alive!! The steering wheel was worrying me just because of the direct contact with hands/oils etc... but like anything else, as long as you keep up the cleaning/maintenance im sure it will hold up fine

So I stopped by the dealer with the available allocation this morning to ask about PTS and potentially put a deposit down. I was a bit surprised it was still available since it seems to be the only one in the area. While I was there the SA spoke with a few other people about the PTS question but came back saying none of them had heard anything. I was skeptical of course but I figured with a refundable deposit it's still better than relying on demand orders. Not more than an hour after I left, I get a call back from the SA who told me they just had a meeting with the GM after I left, who informed them that PTS is discontinued until MY24. Too bad, but at least I have my name on a car now. I changed the build to Gentian Blue for now but sounds like I have until mid December to change my mind.

These allocations are very strange haha. Glad you were able to get your hands on one! Of all the dealerships in New England, I would have expected Nashua or Westwood to get an allocation first... but Herb Chambers must have a better relationship haha.
Congrats again! hopefully I hear something soon!

I moved to Seattle from Boston. I miss the people from the PCA autocross events. Can't say I miss most of the dealers in the area! Not that I expect much from dealers here.

Agreed, it is a little strange. It makes me wonder if there is some truth to what I read from one user on here that some more GT3RS and T allocations may be given out later this month separate from "normal" allocations.

I know some on here hope this car is super limited production, but I do hope there end up being enough that everyone who wants to get one is able to at least.

@adm63 I'm ordering a free color and doing a liquid wrap in lieu of PTS. Liquid wrap looks like paint, in whatever color you want, it costs less than half the cost of PTS, and when you tire of it, just change the color again.

The more I think about it, the more I agree this is what will happen. They will continue the Carrera T in the 2024 model year unchanged from the 2023 for a defined period of time to make up for production delays related to war/Covid...a 992.15 if you will.

This is what I was referring to. On my 991.2T, the upgrade was required and as all options are....more expensive on a 911 than a 718... If I recall correctly $900.

I would bank on a facelift. The factory has to change over to the new components so they would all be 992.2s I think.
