I'm in a bit of a pickle in the next few weeks. I have had a 992T allocation and build which has finally left the factory and is on the way to the port. A few months ago I bought a S with pccb, pdk, 930 leather, on and on, in the same color as the T build; Python Green. The biggest different is that the T is a manual, does not have pccb, and generally has a very minimal spec, the biggest add was the glass sunroof and the 23.7 fuel tank. You all know the drill.

The argument is strong in either direction, Python Green is gone, PCCB are now for GT cars only which makes my S spec kind of unique, and then the T is Python Green and manual is also going to be rather unique, maybe more so? I'm not concerned about resale, more just my own internal valuation and desire for the car I drive--so both of these cars and specs hold weight as special, to me at least.

The dealer has held my allocation for me, giving me the choice to decide when it lands. That time is coming, and boy... it's doing my head in. I recognize the bias here (in the T thread) but as an objective question it strikes me as conversationally interesting.

Getting frustrated waiting for your T ???

It's well worth the wait - DO NOT CANCEL - as some of you have said you might...you'll regret it!
I have posted this review before but well worth a read by one of the most respected car mags in the business.
In years to come the 992 T will be looked back on as a classic - this the view of many respected journo's and publications.

Put stock wheels back on, but with spacers. 14mm hubcentric in rear and 18mm hubcentric in front.

Gives a wheel 'flush with fender' look and minimizes the effect of some of that stock height wheel gap.

I don’t think there is any bias here. We all love the brand and have different wishes and needs. But to advice you, for me you would need to explain more about yourself. What kind of person and driver are you? What is important and what is not? A daily? Just share some more details so I know in what direction you want to go.

Your camera and the way you make pictures is truly out of this world. Insane color saturation (or how do you call this). Just woooow man. Need more. Probably Nikon D7200 18.0-50.0mm f2.8.

That looks awesome. Personally prefer the stock wheels but that's just my opinion.

Eh, I work from home M-F and then spend weekends in the car. Road trips, weekends in the car, long distance driving, late night blitzes in the city, things of that sort. And I'm into the aftermarket, like I have HRE 305Ms on the S right now, I have Bilstein coilovers on their way to me, so on and so forth.

I'm pretty sure the 992 7MT is still based on the prior-gen 7-speed PDK. It was said to be greatly improved for the 991.2 and possibly even more improvement for the 992 - iow, it sounds like they refined the sh_t out of it.

Interesting tech stuff at "Found in Translation" here:

Thanks for sharing, and yes... 100% counting down the days. Leaving for Europe in 19 days! ED just 24 days away! So Call it 8-10 weeks from now the Rubystar T should be ripping up the streets of Boston.

From your description of your S and incoming T, the biggest differences are the S is pretty well optioned (930 interior, PCCBs) and has PDK. The T is minimal spec with a manual. For me the T power should be enough and if I find it isn't, there are easy aftermarket fixes. The options on your S sound great - you'll have to weigh not having those against the benefit of a clutch pedal.

And what kind of driver? Trackdays? On the limit of the car or never? Traffic light racing? Audio important? Hearing everything or more quiet?

Drive it like you stole it! Makes it pretty clear why this is a “high impact” area.

Hah somebody found the EXIF data A decent camera makes a difference plus I don't upload the pics to Rennlist as it compresses the hell out of them. I upload to https://imgbb.com/ and then manually type in the [img] and [/img] tags and paste the link between. Gives a bigger size image and waaay better quality

Thanks. I tend to agree. Once lowered, I think the HRE's will look good but stock wheels makes sense for stock height.

Spacers just give a little beefiness! Look how the rear view has improved with some tire poke.
