Oh no! I should have opted for CF roof and titanium lugs to compensate for that added weight. My new diet starts tomorrow.
Thats a good idea. My car was such a stripper build initially that when I asked him to add the wheel bolts he seriously had to confirm if I wanted the $1600 titaniums. I said no the cheap ones and that mines a stripper cause Im broke.
The Cayman has a longer wheelbase by 1" than the 911. The 911 still feels like a 911, rear engine. I don't see how that feels like a BMW.
Ah yes the wheelbase was longer. Explains also why its better planted. About the BMW feel I mean its fairly easy to get the rear end in a drift. At least its pretty easy to play on the edge of understeer/oversteer. Just like a BMW. This is very difficult (for me) with a 718.

I guess now it is only the seat that moves backwards.
I agree and also not feeling great about it since my wife has a different seating position. Memory was very welcome. That was one of the reasons to go for the 18-ways. After 40 years of dreaming finally speccing your first new Porsche 911. Result? Ugly white headlight part. No Bose available. No electric steering adjustment. No red callipers. I guess its a glass is half full/empty discussion.

Well because it was only for the first 300 miles. Then adding 200rpm for every 120 miles. The only way its manageable and suggested by Andreas Preuninger. But what a stunning car and color combination!!! Cant wait for your review.

Today first time tracking the car in Zandvoort. Only did around 10 laps. The car felt too new for me to punish it more than that. Felt great. Will do a review later. Obligatory wash upon return.
@stiff///M congrats on the delivery! How did Lehigh Valley Porsche do with PDI, prep, etc? Any issues to report?
I am still at Emden so go burn up those Pirellis.
How long have you been at Emden? Todays been a rollercoaster for me. Went from 5/8 to 5/11 and now 5/22 Emden departure. The latest change pushes my delivery date to end of June. My July is very busy so if I cant get it before July its going to sit at the dealership for a month.
Weird question, but you didn't happen to raise your rear spoiler with the engine off in both of these pics, did you? If not, it really appears like the slick top 992's do not raise as high as the slick top 991's. Not sure if this has been covered previously or not. Mine only goes that far up if the motor is not running and will stay that way until it is re-started...
AWESOME looking car, mano. Definitely the color scheme I would have opted for as well... And just might, should these new gen cars prove to have the secret sauce the older ones do.

Thanks, I'm loving it. The spoiler was raised in sport mode through the menu before I turned off the car. It is suppose to go up higher with the SPASM but I can't tell.
Got my clear corners and GT3 skirts on. Looks much cleaner and more aggressive in my mind. Also another shot of the interior showing the exterior colored pieces better. Everyone that sees the car, the first thing they mention is the cool color and they aren't Porsche people who know IGM.

Love the color and the interior pops!! The GT3 side skirts and front markers look awesome!
