My.Porsche is showing the exact same schedule. Hoping for fair skies and calm seas all the way to Jacksonville. The rep at PECATL said he'd email me possible delivery dates once the car was on board.
Yup exactly, i am working icu most of june, so getting it home delivered provided it comes in June !!
Ive heard factory speakers are made of plastic and paper. What do u find most lacking? Clarity? Volume? Bass? Highs? All of the above?
Spoiler
Well I am a bit biased. Cause most important is that you expect NOTHING. And then when you get your car you will be pretty happy. That’s what happened to me. I was a big Bose lover. So hated the fact Bose was not available. From 600W speakers going to 150W speakers made me have nightmares while sleeping. I was expecting Opel Ascona quality sound. Probably because of this I kind of like them enough. Enough not to do aftermarket swaps. I planned this but canceled it. Honestly the speakers suffice. And music is quite important for me. I only listen to music in the car. Will see in the future.
The Bass is actually there. Clarity and highs are there. This was a big surprise. Speakers just coming from the left: not in my car. Maybe I have Bose by mistake? Volume below 20 I cannot really hear a big difference with Bose. Important to know is I listen mostly to YouTube music. When the volume is pushed above 25 the difference is starting to get clearer compared to Bose. When wanting to push above 30 nothing happens since 29 is the max. So what I found most lacking is the volume. But I guess for most people it will suffice and above 30 will be way too loud. On the Bose the fun just started above 30. To be honest the cars engine is so loud the need to listen music is less than it was on my other cars.
This text is not helping many of you thinking it will be good. The advice remains to think it’s rubbish. So forget what I just wrote!

I have followed Andreas Preuninger tips, but I had to change them lower since we don’t drive a GT car with 9000rpm:
- first 500km (300 miles) not above 5000rpm so I started with 4000rpm
- every 200km (120 miles) above that you do 500rpm extra
This converts to the 992 T as follows:
<500km (300 miles) max 4000rpm
<700km (420 miles) max 4500rpm
<900km (540 miles) max 5000rpm
<1100km (660 miles) max 5500rpm
<1300km (780 miles) max 6000rpm
<1500km (900 miles) max 6500rpm
>1500km (900 miles) full redline
So that’s around 900 miles before going full redline.
How long have you been at Emden? Today’s been a rollercoaster for me. Went from 5/8 to 5/11 and now 5/22 Emden departure. The latest change pushes my delivery date to end of June. My July is very busy so if I can’t get it before July it’s going to sit at the dealership for a month.
Similar boat. 5/5 to 5/11 to 5/22. Hopefully we'll be shipmates. Showing delivery now 6/13 in PA.
Nope not Bob. Also not afraid to state my preferences - just like others state preferences for SD, aero, carbon roof, gloss black trim, t interior package, wheels, exhaust, etc. And I don’t overreact and suddenly state that someone is shaming me because my choice is different than theirs. You do you. Lots of variety and opinions here that are all valid.

6/11 Jacksonville drop off and gets to SC on 6/19. Frustrated doesn’t begin to describe my current state - car’s going to sit at the dealership for a month and a half if this schedule holds. Ugh!
Congrats @ECNJ !! Also on getting Michelins! Black is timeless, looks so good on a 992's curves.
@tourenwagen thanks! T is exactly what I hoped for. It has the things I found lacking in base 992 I test drove just before committing to T. Ha, must admit I was already thinking about certain mods driving back 100 miles….but gonna take my time.
I recall what u said about people wanting to race on ur drive home from pickup day. This young fella in an M3 was revving next to me. I looked down at my speedo. Was cruising back at 85 in 7th. Ha, I was tempted….but just ignored him. Ha, the younger me never turned down a race. He then pointed towards my Side decal and gave thumbs up and went away. No hot mamas staring like with u but fun enough first day.
ECNJ Please post more exterior pics! My A1 Black T is on the Supreme Ace headed here!
Sorry. Only took a few so far. Had 4 hour round trip. Hurry to get back to show family/friends….then wrapper. Not the best but here is one more. My guess is all colors look better in person than pics including black. I can assure u…u won’t be disappointed!
@Barkat03 You are correct. It is all of the above. Now I got the T I think I know what to do. I think u said urs is a daily driver so what u may desire may be more costly. Mine’s not. For me I want a good blend of car noises with good enough audio since stock is terrible. I think I can pull something off for around $1.5k for what I want. Improving “all of the above” to a satisfactory level. I’m going to take some time investigating with shops…will share when I have some good ideas. Ha, but don’t blame u for wanting to upgrade quickly.
Oh, and I’m glad I didn’t get the Burmester for the T. It’s not necessary especially for the cost. I think Burmester in my Benz was significantly lower price. And I heard the Bose in another 992. I’m pretty sure we can do better for probably less. So, I don’t feel bad now about it not being offered on MY23. I’ve upgraded lots of systems in the past…we’ll be fine…just need to figure it out
