Porsche shouldn't even allow that build. Tell the dealer to just order a base instead. At some point removing so many things or adding others just changes the model of the car.

Not everybody didn't get it. Some of us did. I was excited about it from day one and had no problem ordering one (no allocation issues). 7MT, RAS, no sunroof, etc.

Yes, some got it and ordered them but not many. And the car also hit right as the stock market and economy was getting hit, so it was a soft spot in 911 sales in general.

I think they migrated to a new API. Try pulling from api.porsche.com/production-information/v1/us/en_US/orders?include-full-content=false . I found that request from pointing my browser to: https://my.porsche.com/core/us/en_US/production/

the vin field is there but set to null for me, I'm not sure when it gets assigned but my car is not due to start production for about a month. Also, fyi theres also a productionImages field.

I was able to find a production photo (for a previous order) which I never saw before! Neat!

Agreed. The 991.2T forum was fairly full of enthusiasts that got it. I think the rest didn't get it and that (as well as the reasons you mentioned) were why the car was not a hit. Only 911 cars made it to the US if I recall correctly.

Really hoping they only build 911 cars of the 992's as well.

I bet Porsche caught on. I have a feeling those images are only for internal use and they can only be accessed based on the user's permissions. Of course, someone published a video on how to get to them and they probably locked it down. Just my guess.

I think it was a overall issue with their layouts honestly. I heard some people got 1 photo, some 3, etc. I bet you it was just a bad design/layout. Maybe all the photos were there but I didn't click next or something. Hopefully the new design fixes that.

I remember the day in fall 2017 when the announcement popped up on the Porsche website. I was ecstatic! This was a brand new 911 within my reach. Relatively low price with most of the performance goodies I'd want on my 911. And what wasn't standard was available by a simple, though pricey, click of the option box.

My heart would have ordered Miami Blue or Racing Yellow manual with Carrera T interior package, Buckets, Rear axle steer, PCCBs, Bose Stereo, smoking and storage packages (laughable but free), and Lane Keep assist.

What I ended up purchasing last October was Jet Black Metallic manual with standard 4-way seats and rear seats, rear axle steer, Bose stereo, and smoking and storage packages. Guess what......this is damn near perfect!

Why did it take so long? Because I read too many early press reports rather than listening to my gut. Big fail.

Yeah. Those early press releases weren't favorable. I didn't care. It was my first 911 and I was ecstatic about having something that was special and I could afford. Glad you got one now. Enjoy!

I never optioned ventilated because I want the 911 stitching in the headrest and the sport tex seats, but on all the old photos of the car, the heated seat buttons were right in the center.

The new videos in TYD are also very cool for those that havent seen yet

@toph4242 beat me to the punch. So for those of you having trouble getting the new TYD, clear your browser history as suggested on the waiting for your 992 thread which worked for me. Now to start booking hotels etc. Starting to feel real! Should have some of the first Ruby Star Neo images next week if everything stays on track.
