Thoughts?
1. Might as well get the T interior package as it’s unique to the variant.
2. I don’t like the 18 way seats as I don’t want the extra weight and won’t need the extra adjustments.
3. You can always remove rear seats.
4. Easy pass unless your driveway is brutal.

This will be my first Porsche that I plan to daily and own for a very long time…it won’t be my last 911 so the question really comes down to am I willing to wait for a PTS build slot which likely won’t be until 2024 model year per my SA.

I have seen others highlight potential risk of waiting with potential new model year 992.2 generation not launching with a T build.

What do you all think? Yolo now with a non PTS build or wait to get exact spec I want in late 2023 or early 2024.

In terms of build below what am I missing?

Congrats on allocation... Here are my thoughts:
1. If you are going to have a dog, the standard interior might hold up better to abuse/claws... and more so, you will feel less bad about potentially having sport tex take a beating vs. expensive leather. (If you have ever seen Nick Murray videos on youtube, he reviews his Porsche interiors and always has dogs... he is a huge fan of sport tex vs. leather for this very reason
2. I think the 18-way seats are better (at least I hope since its the one "non-lightweight" option I added)... but again, with a dog in the back, apparently the 4-way slide and tilt forward WAY easier compared to the 18-way... just something to think about there.
3. If you plan to keep a small dog bed or something in the car, then go Rear seat DELETE... keep it T ethos and special and just put the bed in the back area... Again, dog will likely cause some wear and tear on the fabric or leather seat back there, but if you go seat delete, its just carpeting and a simple vacuum will keep it clean...
4. Skip FAL unless you ABSOLUTELY know you need it... otherwise, you shouldnt need it on this car, and it just adds weight and cost to the car... Id spend that money on something else more performance related or cosmetic that you like...

Have you driven a car with power steering plus vs without? I had this once on my previous 911 and I actually dont like it... It takes some of the feeling out of the steering and the car gives much better feedback without it... Id consider losing this if you dont really care about it... it basically just makes some very very low speed turning a little easier I guess, but I didnt think it helped in any way with performance.
Maybe add a pop of color with red or yellow seatbelts?

Should be a fantastic car... hope it works out

I am worried about falling to the back of the line as far as options (SD package, especially) and j have already hit change freeze date. Anyone ever get a change in after the freeze date?

Front axle lift is a must where I live, which is a speed bump paradise🤬
My Taycan has it and I use it regularly and as the T is even lower than the Taycan it’s a must!
It’s a shame I need it because as well as the cost it probably adds a good few pounds of weight?!

I'm in the same boat - bitterly disappointed at THE BIG LIE (also known as that time Porsche said that PTS would be available on the 992 Carrera T). I, too, am smitten with Oak Green but I didn't hesitate to take a T allocation despite no PTS. We gotta hedge our bets - 911 allocations are hard to get, plus they might do something stupid w/the 992.2. The only thing worse than no PTS is no 911 at all.

You and I are in a race for the bottom, i.e., to be the last person on here to take delivery of their 2023 911 Carrera T!

5/2 lock, 6/30 delivery here. I'm hoping the silver lining is getting a peak at the 992.2 option before having to commit fully to the 992.1.

Yellow is a great color and spreads happiness and joy. I was tempted between white, yellow and silver, then Ruby came out and the choice was even more difficult. I also considered the PG for a while as I always had cars with bright colors. The Gt silver was my final decision as this is my very first 911 and maybe the last combo of manual/non hybrid/lightweight non Gt 911. I wanted to celebrate this model with an iconic and timeless color.

With regards to white/green, I had in mind those 2 beautiful declinations of 911.

I’ve got you beat… I’m July 7. Perhaps I can claim last T off the line?

I was told by my SA that your dealer has around 10 days after the freeze that they can make a change. My build freezes in a couple days but I'm not changing anything until it does as I dont want to lose the areo kit.

I have heard the same. BTW, as for the Aero kit, I spoke with my SA on Monday and he told me if it's in now, it's accepted; we're locked. Period. We can only hope! Maybe they order/plan for a certain amount of Aero cars each year and when that number is hit, they stop. The only thing that's odd is why are people's cars delayed sometimes because of the Aero, which would sound more like a supply chain issue. Who knows?!

I remember from antitrust class in law school there was something like this called „bundling“ that was a violation in certain circumstances. I just can’t recall what the requirements were for it to be a violation. EDIT: Having now done a Google search, it looks like this issue is more of a „tying“ issue than a „bundling“ issue. Not my area of expertise.

That's good news! I'm not touching anything until I get the freeze message!
