Not trying to be dramatic but if the aerokit is off the table for me, I really need to think things through.
I've already lost buckets, PCCB's, PTS (I probably wouldn't have optioned that though) and now potentially the aero kit.
At what point do I just bail and pick up a lightly used S instead?
Or what if buckets, PTS, Bose and maybe PCCB open up on the MY 24 T? Nobody knows of course, but if it means that much would it be worth waiting to see if it does happen?
My 991 GT3 was SOLD today to a friendly PCA member in Maryland. It should be at Summit Point this summer. I had a very difficult time letting this one go. I passed on 2 GTS allocations hoping a T would happen. So, I am hoping the T will be a good fit for me. I never tracked the GT3 and I do put 5-7,000 miles on a year, so I think the T will fit the bill. I am not in a position to be able to keep both.

You forgot the Bose as well. I was planning on for years a T with the buckets and PCCB's but once they weren't available I was happy to save $14k. Only thing I'm annoyed about is a decision between base audio and an overpriced/overkill audio system. I have a pretty basic build so I'm not stressing. Wanting the aero and getting it dropped from my build would make me second guess getting a T all together.

That car has to be tough to give up. On a side note, I'm guessing one of the GTS's you passed on my neighbor grabbed. Should be here soon but it's stuck in production.

Yep good point. It doesn't bother me as much as the other points, but my current 992 has Bose and it is definitely a decent set-up.

I'm in Chicago and surrounded by some great tracks, so while we're a 1-car household and the T will be my daily, it will also see some track time in the future at autobahn and fingers-crossed road america.
Beautiful GT3. Your T will also be beautiful and will probably be a better all-rounder for you. My dream (like many Porschephiles) is a GT3 Touring, but at the moment not at all sensible. Maybe the T will get me closer to my dealer granting me a GT3 allocation (will probably need to buy another 3 911's first).

Agree the T will be a better daily. Curious if you're specc'ing your T as a manual since the .1 GT3's are all PDK. @DSC48

Yeah, that annoyed me as well but only slightly. Given the choice Porsche forced us in to for audio, I'll do without the over-rated & inflated Burmester set-up and get a local installer to work on it IF the base is terrible. I can't imagine it will be that bad, besides, I want to hear the engine.
I’m going pretty basic on my 7 speed T. I don’t want a sunroof but I think the roof looks good glass with all that green. Anyone ever wrap a fake glass roof? Is the weight reduction of the carbon fiber roof worth 4k? This will be my first water cooled 911 (964,993).

I have it on my build but its more for looks than weight savings. I plan on getting the carbon mirror caps from Suncoast to replace the grey T caps, and was ultimately going to look for a carbon version of the aero wing to tie it all together.

Spend a little more and get the CF then. Same result, less weight, no drama with getting something you don't want/someone may not want if you have to sell it. .02, take it for what is worth...
