Sorry to burst your bubble, but with the rate key options are dropping like flies, I am moving more toward passing. I can’t imagine I’m the only one.

If the aero kit gets nixed, I will probably cancel mine and just pick up a used S. I started looking at local inventory last night just in case

My dealer sent me a spreadsheet today that gave more detail about what items are not available. What it said was that orders submitted starting 1/26 for any Carrera for the Aerokit were getting rejected. I literally turned my order change in on 1/27. Haha!

Truth be told, I was on the fence about the Aerokit anyway, so no worries here.

The other strange thing about my order is the Euro delivery looks like it is still in place. We were told in December that it would be rejected, but it is still on my build. We are presently trying to get more clarification on that subject, but if Euro delivery works out then it will be a bonus!

I'm in the same boat regarding European Delivery. I sent an e-mail to the coordinator that manages it all and he said it's pretty backed up, but they are releasing fall slots (September, October, and maybe November) in March.

you would qualify for a fall delivery slot. I’ll begin taking those requests on March 1 and the dealer needs to send the information in at that time. I can’t guarantee a slot, but we will limit the waitlists per month to better ensure accommodations for all. We will need to leave the Leipzig option, as Zuffenhausen slots are extremely limited.
That's with my June build date.

Hopefully that holds up. My order submission date, although originally December, is showing as 1.24. whew!

It seems to me the Aerokit has historically been a disappointment to many who have ordered it only to have it withdrawn by Porsche later and that's too bad. I saw a 911 in Daytona this past weekend with the Aerokit and it looked phenomenal (GR). For a moment it made me wish I had ordered it.

Moments ago I got a text from my SA saying he was just notified we have to remove the Euro delivery. At least I was expecting that one. Haha!

If you could just order the wing at <$2K I would have done that... but with all the options I wanted on the car, I just could not justify another $6-7K on the Aerokit package.... It is a REALLY REALLY cool package though!
Maybe the next one... Oh wait, Im supposed to be saving for a GT3 Touring...

If you don't mind, what I'm going to need to hear is how it looked horrible. Are you sure you weren't mistaken??

Thanks for the info on that spreadsheet. My last and final order was input into the system by my SA over 3 weeks ago, but TYD shows 1/31. Does that mean they will be rejecting the aero kit on mine?

Any chance you can post the spreadsheet?

Yeah I was mistaken, sorry, it looked terrible, like someone cobbled a 747 wing on to a 911's butt.

Agreed! I'm fine with the stock front & rear. I think they look great. I really just wanted the wing. I know it's a little bit gaudy, but I just don't care. I think they're cool...
