New vehicle tint is regulated by the Federal Govt. The regulation is Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) and it is not allowed on anything the Federal Govt considered as "car".
In practice this means no OEM is allowed to offer tinted windows but you do what you want as soon as it leaves the showroom.

Thrilled to report that I was able to confirm/book my official European Delivery date today! Build date is still 3/17 and then off to Leipzig for Delivery the first week of June! Planning to drive around for the whole first week of June and then either drop off in Stuttgart or at the port in Amsterdam (where it is shipped out of to go stateside)... Car Should arrive back in Boston just after the July 4th holiday!
Ive been to Zuffenhausen in 2019 where I rented a 911... but this is my first ED experience, could not be happier and would love to chat with anyone that has been through the process before!

Congrats, that sounds amazing! Do you have any details on whether/how much extra you pay if you drop off in Stuttgart or Amsterdam? Or is there no extra charge if you drop off at those spots? I have not seen details on the additional charges associated with the various drop-off spots. Thanks and have a great trip.
The Amsterdam location is listed on the "drop off location list" but it is currently blacked out and says "Temporarily Unavailable". I have some family that live right near Emden Port in the Netherlands, so I was really hoping this would work as my final destination location and drop off, but might not happen... I will let you know if I hear of this opening back up again. Leipzig (where Im picking it up) is the only other NO COST option... everything else in Germany is about 2-300 Euro... every other country is about 1000 Euro+. I will likely just drop in Stuttgart or Leipzig again after I've finished my week of exploring (or Amsterdam if it opens: was a 500 Euro cost). I cant see myself paying that much to leave in another country, which also extends the time it takes to get back to the USA. I think they say leaving in Leipzig is the fastest track back to the US, but this is a question I want the answer to because if I can save 2+ weeks from the shipping timeline, I will adjust the direction of my driving/vacation slightly to help with that.

I've been considering a used GT3 that's available locally instead of the 992 T this week. Test drove it Monday and its amazing but I'm not sure I'd use it as my daily driver like I would with the T, so I'd need another car on top of the GT3 vs just one car with the T (mainly just comes down to the back seats for my kids in case I need to take them somewhere and the wife is out with her car.)

You might see the beginning of mine! My build is scheduled for a few days after that, so if it goes early I might ask you to break the rules and snap some pics for me haha.
And I agree... Im actually happier with the Leipzig option, and if in a perfect world where I could pick either, I think this is the one I would have gone with.

If the GT3 feels right to you though, go for it and enjoy the hell out of it. I cant wait to add one to my garage someday, but for now Im too excited about the build process and specifications that the T offers to walk away

When I was there in 2019, the tour guide was allowed to take a couple pictures of you in certain locations, but basically they take your phone away for the tour... Like im almost certain I left it in a lock box somewhere haha.

Are you guys asking for any 'freebies' to be thrown in?
I have heard of things like:
- clear corners
- day pass to performance center
???

When I bought my last 992, my dealer threw in a number of surprise freebies... They did the clear side markers, car cover, sweatshirt, and then the nicest one of all was about a month after I took delivery they sent me a gift card for a custom suit fitting in the amount of $750 at a local custom clothing store. I had a really nice dinner jacket made up and thought that was a really cool touch.
