I believe it's just a glitch listing standard equipment and the buckets will delete seat heat option. But i'm unsure. My car has not locked I don't believe, but I am unfamiliar with the process. My salesperson did not mention anything about ability to change. We went over the options and then I signed off. I was thinking of trying to add the LED lights even though they don't function as individual lenses for US markets. I think the running light looks a little cleaner than the base light after studying it more. They appear like X marks from a distance. Do you guys think those lights are a worthy add for 3200 USD?

I have the top tier lights, imo not worth it. Save the coin and option the standard lights. Keep the msrp down as much as possible you will get hit on resale otherwise

What about Mr. Mertz video can be called a car review? Raining, cold, and nothing above 5k revs. Give me a break not a break in! The Porsche community is becoming (has been?) insufferable. Are we that starved for the approval of others?
Running a 1,000 mile break in, oil changes every 1,500 miles, treating it like some kind of museum piece. This is all totally crazy.
Mr. Mertz has a standing invitation (NY tri-state area) to review my 500 mile old 24’ manual T this summer but he has to promise no granny shifting!

This seems like more of a 'daily drive' review. They should have loaded up some people or groceries in the back. Yes, both T's driven had back seats.

I haven't watched the video yet, but plan to do so today. I'll tell you this though, I have yet to have a conversation with Mr. Mer()z or watch one of his videos where I didn't learn something.

It's pretty difficult these days to even get a test drive, so IMO any knowledgeable feedback is helpful. I would suggest appreciating the video for what it is instead of bashing it for what it isn't.

I enjoyed the perspectives that were delivered in the video, it was nice to hear what each owner/driver had to say about the differences/nuances of the cars.

I don't disagree that they could've chosen a better day and that they should've waited until after break-in. But to suggest that commentary from guys who have owned several Porsches and who have put on at least several hundred miles specifically on the most relevant cars to people looking at a 992 T: 991.2 T and a 992 GT3, has no value because they're not driving at the limit, is asinine. Nathan is a walking encyclopedia, has driven a tone of Porsches, and most of all, he understands the nuances that make one model different from another. While this wasn't his best video, perhaps you're not familiar with his other videos but I certainly appreciate his ability to pick up subtle differences between cars that most YT influencers and reviewers don't have the knowledge or insight to pick up on.
For what it’s worth I’ve had several 911’s and put thousands of miles on them. Doesn’t mean you have to agree with me.

I appreciate the video, the approach, etc but agree that one big flaw is the 992T on break-in. Why not wait a week or two for that to be done and for some clearer weather? They mention the last 500 rpm of the 3.0T motors being awesome but then don't go there in the video. I'm not suggesting they do a full flog on public roads, but to get the full experience you do need to open it up.
As someone who has owned both iterations, and driven thousands of miles in each, here are what I think are the main improvements of the 992.1 over the 991.2:
1. Steering feels sharper.
2. Manual transmission is crisper. Anybody who has driven the 7MT from the early days will tell you, there is a marked difference from 991.1 to 991.2 and also from 991.2 to 992.1. I think the 7MT is absolutely fantastic now.
3. 992 feels more stable and planted at speed.
4. Interior is astronomically improved.
5. Better exhaust note.
The two things I have to give to the 991.2 are styling and size. Styling is subjective, and of course the SportDesign Package allows the 992 buyer to specify a more 991 look. But size is objective, and I do miss the old days when the 911 was smaller. With that said, the 991 is also a big 911.
As an aside, as have numerous other reviews of the Carrera T, this video repeatedly makes comparative reference to the GT3. It is truly amazing the percentage of Carrera T reviewers who are reminded of the GT3 or feel compelled to make comparative notes when they drive the car. You don't find this nearly as much with any other Carrera variant, including the GTS. I think that says something quite good about the Carrera T.
