Less than 2 weeks before my freeze date, and I made some last minute changes.
RWS was off, then added back in November, then as of this evening, rear wheel steering is off the build again. FINAL ANSWER! so help me god
Also took off red seatbelts because I really didn’t like how my friend’s red belts looked after just 3 years of wear and dirt on his 718. I know it can easily be cleaned, but life is just easier with black belts and I already have deviated stitching in red to spice up the interior just right.
My lock date is approaching next month. The good part of having such a late build is seeing what others have done and would do or not do again with their builds. Mine is pretty simple overall. I like the unique green T interior package as it's the only way in Porscheland to get the green striped sport-tex seats, although I'm not dead set on it. This build is white with standard green T interior.
I also like Ice Grey Metallic and I think it goes well enough with the green interior accents, and it is not as plain as just white. GT silver is another option, but I've had a lot of silver cars . White looks crisp and clean, if a bit boring, with good contrast with the gray T trim pieces. And it gives me the option of adding some green stripes later if I want to add some color. If I forego the green T interior, I'd consider Gentian Blue. I was thinking Racing Yellow before it became unavailable. I had a RY 991 T though so might be ready for something different this time.
I do like how the carbon fiber roof looks with white, but not sure its worth $4k (it doesn't look THAT good). I will probably add the Porsche 19/20 winter wheel/tire package and the roof rack cross bars accessories.
Hi all, just wondering if anyone has experience with a ceramic coating for their 911? I live in New England and the snow has been coming down! Mostly just worried about driving with all the salt on the roads. Any advice would be very welcome!
Yes to ceramic and PPF as that helps. Mine is parked right now as I have other things to drive that I put snow tires on when the roads get nasty with mag chloride etc on them. I'd be more concerned about the stuff you pick up in the wheel wells and on the underside.
On Sunday, I started my roadtrip back home from Sonoma to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. First stop was meeting @BaxterPup at Alice's Restaurant. We stopped off at Santa Cruz for a car wash and a stroll (and a chair lift) on the Board Walk and then made our way down to Monterey/Carmel. A few pics.
Next time you visit the Bay Area, let me know; I was just at Alice's on Sunday! Have a safe drive to Puerto Vallarta!
My Carrera T was delivered at the end of the last year. I went back to my parents’ home from Tokyo during New Year holidays.
(The wheels are silver because my T is equipped with winter tires.)
Thank you for sharing this. I have the same GT Silver with Carrera wheels/winter tires as well. have not put them on as of yet.
I have had my car for a week tomorrow and although I have not driven it a lot thanks to the abundance of snow we received here, there is nothing that I would add to my build. I would however probably omit the “bespoke center console lid” as you rarely, if ever notice it from the driver’s seat nor the passenger’s seat. The second item would be the dash cam pre-wiring as I truly never plan to have one installed.

Question for any of the recent "T" owners (from Dec to today). If you have ordered the 18-way Adaptive Sports Seats, do you also have Electronic Adjustment of the Steering Column? Many are porting that Porsche never did revert back this feature after the 2020 chip shortage... Just curious what new "T" owners have if they did order the 18-way Adaptive Sports Seats?
There should be a settings under Comfort to activate this feature if Porsche is indeed adding it back in... assuming their chip shortage is over...

I think you answered your own question. And there is no coding it back in when you don't have motors and have a manual lever instead.
