WOW! That is distressing! Do you know what could be the trigger?

I am asking, as with the widows up and relatively high cabin pressure, I have to close the door with some force to close it properly, so I have to be careful.

Ouch that sucks! Are you touching the window when closing the door? Or pushing on the door itself? I push the door trim along the top edge of the door.

Another thing - I've had my door not close all the way a few times. I'm pretty sure the window is down a bit when you shut the door and then snugs up against the seal once the door is closed. I wonder if that could be malfunctioning and causing stress to the window.

I never put my hands on or near the glass except to wash it. The first time no one was near the car for 10 minutes, when I looked a the car after returning from a quick errand, the glass had cracked itself. This time I opened the door and as I put my foot on the ground I heard a pop, the door had been open 1-3 seconds at that point.

Yea.... It's just not the same I really am not interested in the hassle of buying parts and getting it painted.

Waiting is no guarantee it seems though? By early next year we may be in 992.2 already and the T may be gone for good. Bird in hand... Yada yada.

Dang that's lucky! My freeze date is on Friday of this week so I think it's probably just too far away. My SA said he was unable to update my configuration after speaking with Porsche.

Yea, entirely possible. I've already asked for a December allocation but he claimed that Porsche said that no more were coming. Not sure what else I can do beyond take his word for it?

Have you called another dealership and asked if aero is available? Might be good to fact check your sales person.

My dealership said it's available starting in December, which aligns with what another poster above said.

My SA is simply saying they can't push my allocation out that far and they can't promise me another one.

The real question is whether another dealer could offer me a guaranteed allocation for December/January... and would they do it at MSRP like my existing dealer.

I've got the first swipe of my T build complete and my lock date isn't until 10/19. I was toying around with my build and noticed that the "Exclusive Manufaktur Aerokit" is available again. I called my dealer and asked to have it added to my build and they are saying to check back because it's currently disallowed. I can add it on the build site, but they can't add it in their system. I'd really like to add this option! Any ideas? Am I SOL?

Never mind. I scrolled and read some previous posts and found this. "Unfortunately my dealer told me that while the configurator shows Aerokit, it's not available to be added to orders until early December.... If I keep my current order, it'll already by built by that point and waiting for a different order isn't an option as they have no allocations available for me later this year."

I guess I could buy the kit from Suncoast.

Hey Guys. Spent the last 5 years in Dubai, had the pleasure of picking up the first 718 Spyder in the country. Ridiculous laws in the US prevented me from shipping the 718 Spyder to the US so I had to part with it. Now back home and have been trying to pick up a Porsche in the US with limited luck until a few months ago, have an allocation for a 2024 Carrera T from Porsche Plano (Dallas, TX). Good news today--its reached the 3rd milestone of production to start soon. Expected here in late November. Here's my configuration:
https://configurator.porsche.com/porsche-code/PRPFEGK3
Jet Black, manual of course, RAS, FE and other stuff (FE= Fire Extinguisher. Damn acronym for everything else, why not FE)

New to Dallas and look forward to connecting with the Porsche fam .

Rarely c used 992 T for sale in my neck of woods…metro NYC. Saw one at McLaren dealer in NNJ. IGM MT with 4500 miles asking about $10K over MSRP. Someone pick it up and join us at our NE T meet at Stony Point, NY this weekend!

I know the owner of this one. Notice the GT3 side skirts, wheel spacers and looks like it might be slightly lowered too.

or have your dealer add it when it lands. Suncoast Porsche should have one. Around 5k. Good luck.
