They didnt say “yes this is normal for GTS or not its not normal”. And it happens at low rpms/high load and by pressing or depressing the pedal.
ok fair enough. again, have them take your panels off and clean out any **** up there.

if there is something legitimately wrong with it ill owe you a bottle of single malt.

i hope you don’t spend time worrying about and find someone you can trust to give you the response you want.

Video is private. But if you hear any kind of faint clicking like my original videos show, then not sure what more I can say other than you have it too. Seems to me that Porsche is just saying its a characteristic of the car. Dealers dont seem to know jack **** about it. They all say they hear it. But they all came back to me saying not knowing that it was. Porsche HQ said its normal. In my case, only one of my 992 911 S did this.So I asked for a buy back. I could not live with cricket sounds on light decel every day.

Your choices are...

Live with it. Nothing is wrong. Its just annoying.
Sell the car.
Ask for a buy back.

Good luck with your choice.

EDIT: You fixed the video. I hear the cricket like sound. I also hear lots of road noise and shaking. But I did hear the cricket like sound I had.. As I mentioned, Porsche said its normal. My car never gave me any issues with the sound. Other than it being annoying. So thats about it.

You have the same sound. I now see you also had 2 992's with only one making the sound like I did. If you can't live with it, call Porsche NA and start a buy back. That's what I did. Yours sounds as annoying as mine was too. Which is very hard to capture on camera. In person, everyone hears it.

Exactly. I used to have a 992 s which did not make this noise, which is so annoying that it makes me furious tha porsche says it could be normal . Actually their official answer whas that “in the given conditions we go for a functional noise” which i really dont understant. What do they mean in the given conditions? Is there any other condition than…driving? They should answer yes its normal or no its not normal and try to find a solution. I thought Germans would be more responsible but it seems like they r loosing their grib. So so disappointed

Hey Tupper! Nice to hear from you.

I'm all over the place these days. From here back to BMW. But I'm all done modding my BMW so I don't really post much there. Then we added a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon to the stable. I pimped that out until I could not deal with it anymore. Cool, but not for me. We just sold that and got a brand new Raptor. So as of recently I've mostly been on the raptor forum.

I hope all is well with you and... I think you last had the R10? Hopefully that's been good to you!

Cheers buddy!

I had the exact same experience and the exact same feelings about it. If its normal, then why don't they ALL do it? Sadly, you're just going to have to accept it or move on.

Hi friends,

We all have to complain not to the dealership, but directly to the manufacturer !

I sent email to : customer.relations@porsche.de

Everyone should send an email to the manufacturer to see if they can issue a recall or at least provide a solution.

The ideal is to listen or film in a quiet place and inside a garage or with side walls so as not to disperse the sound.

This is my 992 Turbo 20/21. This cricket noise appeared after 3100km.

It is the resonance of the piezo injector valves along the fuel collectiion pipe, if I understand the TSB properly. This sound is louder on the 718 4.0's due to the mid engine layout, but it's the same sound.

The TSB:

They all do it to some degree.
