2021 Delivery Date?

Also guys they're cars...what do you think they do with them while sitting at port waiting for a ship sometimes for weeks prior to export? They're outside! 99% of the cars will be fine...majority will be stored inside by Porsche at some point just this point and their net value...would like like say $10-20mil of new Porsches to get damaged by a hurricane, flood, hail? Biggest issue now is there will be a bit of delays as I am sure transport avail may not meet demand...that probably will be the biggest bottleneck...finding a transporter headed in said direction...East-West-North-South cosigned to take shipment of said number cars to said number dealership. I doubt they're gonna ship em 1 by 1 solo...although I did have a friend back in 2008 who ordered a factory built e92 M3 and picked up his car directly from the port after PDI...was doable back then...maybe still (I know it was in interesting paperwork activity and PITA). Maybe some of you guys should check into that if you're that worried that Porsche can't get your custom ordered car from factory to port thru PDI and to your dealership and garages without any catastrophe! Not trying to be too harsh but relax guys...enough going on in the world (especially negative) to worry about that which you cannot move or control any better than you can the stars!

My SA just told me that my C2 is ahead of the production schedule by about a week.

If you look at an EPA certification document you'll find the CARB EO # in the upper right hand corner of the first page.
CARB Publishes their EO's here: https://ww3.arb.ca.gov/msprog/onroad/cert/cert.php#6
AS of right now, there are no CARB EO's for any 2021 Porsche's. In fact there are very few 2021 EO's for anyone right now.

Quite true. The EPA accepts a California Air Resources Board (C.A.R.B.) Executive Order (E.O.) as compliance.

Agree, delivery will be very anti-climatic. Especially here in the northeast where we will essentially be picking up the car to park it in the garage for the next 4 months or so.

My main issue now is that I am not at all confident the cars will be delivered in November.

I’ve spent part of my career in a heavily regulated and inspected industry (port tank storage). 17 separate state (CA) and federal agencies are able to mandate controls and directly or indirectly assess fines or issue stop orders. The reality was the level of disruption created by the regulators had more to do with their trust of the operators than inspections. If an operator lost the trust of the regulators, delays and fines were much more likely to happen. Reputation of the operator was very important.
I have no idea if any of this plays into what’s going on here, but as I read the discussion I keep remembering my experiences with port/import regulation.

Pretty sure it is still 11/6 release (or rather, expected EPA/CARB approval) and then however long it takes to transport the dozens (hundreds?) of cars to the dealers.
