Yes, but wouldn’t you think they would send out the > $200k cars that were specially ordered by customers before some stock Jetta????
Believe it or not that chicken**** little Jetta that belongs to some timeclock punching plebeian means as much to them as some high roller with a 200,000 sports car

You have ordered and are taking the car - the sale is largely assured
Someone arriving at a VW dealer with no Jettas might go elsewhere or look at another brand.
One of my friends used to work as a technician for NORAD in Davisville, and said there is no rhyme or reason to how quickly the cars get loaded on trucks to go to the dealers. Depends on the availability of the trucks and when a full load of cars is assembled to go in that specific direction.
No doubt right now they are totally backed up because of how many cars have been embargoed at Davisville.
I can't say for sure, but just based on what I've been witnessing this week out of California Ports, it appears that they are focusing on getting the "local" cars out first, with multiple loads going to local dealers. I can only assume that gives them best bang for the buck, and then once the trucks are freed up from that, then we should start seeing more long distance coverage.

By stock, I meant going to stock as in no one ordered it and it’s just going to sit in a lot until someone does.

He also mentioned that while there might be in an usual number of Porsches at Davisville right now, it’s not like they are going to run out of space because under normal conditions Porsches represent a tiny fraction of the vehicles there compared to other manufacturers such as Honda and Subaru.

Most all of the other vehicles being transported out of ports are not going in enclosed trailers. I suspect the competition for spots on the trucks is between Porsches and not between Porsches and other brands.
I'm on Swift Ace and TYD indicated this a couple days before it moored at Emden. My car got to Emden on 11/20 and officially on boat 12/11 just as TYD indicated. 21 day wait.

My dealership is 100 miles from Benicia and still didn't get 992S. They did get the Turbos. One thing I learned this week is trying to assign any rules to the order of release is useless.

One of my high school jobs was unloading cars at NORAD (late 80s/early 90s). Back then it was unloading Saabs and Subarus.
the Saab 9000 aeros were loads of fun and they came in sticks. We would see how fast they go and Rev them up without a care in the world. As long as you got all the adhesive glue off the windows, we had little or no supervision.
God I really hope they changed their protocol since I worked there. I can only imagine what a punk high school kid would do to my car before I take ownership.
