@brucewinter I’m excited for you to get your production picture! Hope you will post it.
Standard estimate for departing Emden after production. I've had several shipped over past few years and been fortunate that I've never had to wait more than 2 weeks at Emden. Attached is current shipping schedule from PWL Group.

Based on this, and the intended destination port of Benicia, CA. The earliest ship I can catch is RCC America.

My TYD had my car leaving Emden on Dec 18 initially ( production was completed Nov 20) It went to Emden on the 23rd and on a ship the 26th. FYI

Something seems to be wrong with the published schedule. RCC America is currently in Asia, arriving in Singapore on Dec. 21. Not sure what's up with that.

Likely a typo -- it should be RCC Amsterdam. That ship just crossed the Panama Canal heading to Zeebrugge in Holland, and will be at Emden on Dec 15th. It will arrive in San Diego on 1/8/21 and Benicia on 1/10/21.

Default Targa built, and now with only a one week delay. YEA

I also called Porsche Customer Service and received my VIN.

does the 48 days suggesting that the car will not be at the dealers for 48 more days? But the car is built and only needs to cross the Atlantic - that trip only takes less than a week doesn’t it? Perhaps there are delays at the factory and then at the port in Germany and then at the port in the United States.

Porsche should offer delivery by air for an extra amount $ then it could arrive at any dealer in the states in a matter of days. What’s another $5 or $10 thousand after $175,000 —-

hahaha!! This from a company that charges you to hot press a logo on leather. That’ll be the day.

Depending on when your vehicle gets on a ship there can be quite a bit of time cut off of this timeline. They generally build in a 3 week wait at Emden, then at least a week at the US port (sounds ludicrous with the current CARB delay situation). If yours is coming into Baltimore, the next scheduled vessel is the Siem Aristotle according to latest schedule I've seen.

And I think I've seen in the past that you can arrange air transport through Porsche - for about $25,000. Figures.

Mine arrived early. Dang you East coast guys get your cars much faster than us West Coast folks. My car has been on the boat for 10 days and still has 24 days to go.
