I’m going from a 991.2 GTS. I wanted an all weather cruiser. I also came to hate center lock wheels🙂
Nothing against the TTS - the insane power was fun for a while but that wore off. Don't track it and just don't need the speed. So went back to "S" package (previously had Carrera S) and always wanted a Targa. Personal preference over a cabriolet.

PS I may have missed ACC in the link above. It is in my build
Here is a post production picture that I just got. I'm happy to see the progress as the original completion date slipped from 11/13 to 12/18 but they completed it on 11/30

I always wanted a Targa also. Just sold my 2019 991.2 GTS 2 which was a great car. I knew the 992 performance would be similar to the GTS but I did consider getting a Turbo S but honestly after driving one I knew it would get me in trouble. It was more than what I was looking for.

I am always looking at watches, I have the Rolex Daytona and a Submariner two tone blue face. Also a limited edition Breitling code black. Liking the Hublot skelly's, just haven't seriously looked for one yet.

I’m a huge fan of AP Royal Oak, PP in addition to specific Rolex models and smaller maisons like FPJ, Ressence and Gronefeld. Very privileged to have built a small collection that is also meaningful (tied to my life milestones).

For those of you with Targa driving experience: with the targa top closed, how does the noise level compare w a coupe?

No noticable difference to me. The top is hard like a coupe.

Exactly right. That's why I wanted the flexibility without the cab commitment.

Just traded in a 991.2 coupe (Turbo S) for a Targa 4S. In my opinion, both on secondary roads and the freeway, noise levels are comparable. That's what I've seen in reviews as well. That top is quite stiff and solid and the seal when it closes seems to be very tight. And with top down, I don't sense much buffeting when windows are down, even just half way. When I have the top down, windows are down too.

That’s exactly what it shows for me too. I expect it is an outer estimate just like the production date.

@brucewinter I’m excited for you to get your production picture! Hope you will post it.

Great news Bruce. Soon we will be tracking ships crossing the Atlantic. It has been a bit of a long process. However, considering the potential for parts shortages and factory shutdowns, we have been blessed.

I finished production last week (no pictures on TYD yet) and the car currently sits at Emden with an estimated time of departure 12/15 to Benicia and arriving some 30 days later. However, with CARB still holding back MY21 models, it looks like I would be only some 30 days past the first introduction of the vehicle to CARB states. But who knows.

Regards,
Mark
