Impressive build! You certainly aren’t missing much.
While I am sure you are going for the extended leather look, it’s a lot for my eyes with the interior trim. Also not sure how beneficial it is to cover the steering column as it’s not something that I’ve ever noticed. Perhaps think about adding leather seat backs if you’re set on keeping the other bits?
I would definitely skip the factory ppf and opt for installing after delivery. While convenient, I’m sure you can find a local shop that will provide better installation and coverage.

My problem is an Atlanta delivery, and I am concerned about the drive to South Florida and rock chips, without advanced paint protection.
thank you for your comments.
this will be a special build for me.

I'd opt for the Bordeaux/black interior instead of full Bordeaux. I had it in my GT Silver 991 and loved it. I now have garnet/black in my chalk Macan. If you really want the all Bordeaux look, I agree with slwong about the extended leather trim. Maybe go with carbon fiber or aluminum. Aluminum would tie in nicely with the silver Targa bar and silver wheels. That being said, the red interior with white exterior looks great.

my up to date build Porsche Targa Classic
http://www.porsche-code.com/PMAWJUJ1
I have been building this car on the configurator since the 992 was first introduced. The same build within a couple of items comes up over and over for me.
I think I will have this car the rest of my life (20 plus years) ...so I'm looking for a classic look. It will get 5k to maybe up to10k a year in mileage I think. How fortunate to be # 2 on the list at local dealer...awaiting announcements of allocations but really not that in a hurry. I really don't drive very fast anymore. Have never driven a 992 or I really can't remember if I even sat in a 992 the one time I visited a dealership for a short look see. Took a 10 minute test drive in a 991 about 3 years ago. Had a 80 SC Targa back in the day in my 20's. I think that this particular 992 Targa is all I need. I'm looking for the classic and I think this is the one. Take a look.
Regards, Mark
The must haves are: 992 Targa, everything else is icing.
And so I'm getting a:
Targa 4s which includes Porsche Torque Vectoring PTV-nice safety feature
and pretty sure will go with 1st in GT Silver.
2 other alternatives are2nd Agate Gray and a distant 3rd (although Aventurine Green with Brown Club would be a classic long term choice-but what convertible color)
So I'm probably going to get for car protection reasons,(at first I really wanted to stay away from these electronic options because after many years, you end up with old car electronics that don't work any longer and are not worth to repair or replace. My thinking was, it is best to go bare bones electronically speaking if you are holding the car for 20 plus years...but you do want the wiring there if you want to add something later on electronically) So my decisions still do revolve around,
Power Folding Mirrors- preparing for garage
Surround View-I get out of car now to check to see if I've parked within the lines and who wants a front fender scrape.
Lane Change Assist- I guess I should get it too as I've heard that hump in the back limits sight out of the rear.
Ambient Lighting- I don't know the interior lighting of the car as standard.
I am really planning on going for:
Interior Sport-Tex-Leather Interior in Black with Chalk Stitching Because the Sun beats down, I will probably go Sport-Tex as I had an 80 Targa SC in the day, and realized that leather gets hot...well before the time of ventilated seats.
Porsche Crest on Headrests -undeniable classic
Wheels-So many fine wheel choices, any type would be fine and it would be so easy to save money and go for the Carrerra S wheels as they look fabulous along with the GT Silver/Silver. However, my remembrances of those 68 911s had that Carrera Exclusive Design wheel look to me.
Sports Seats Plus (4 Way)- seem to be okay to me as I will be the only driver so seat memory is unimportant.
BOSE
Full Body PPF
Slight could be Chance Maybe even, going to Europe to pick up too and then I would have to include Factory PPF.
yes, I could add PDLS Plus, but I seem to be only getting high beam assist, which doesn't seem particularly important to me. I could add Wheels Painted in Satin Black but it's not a must have. I think it may look better on this car with GT silver or it may not look better. I could add 930 leather package but away goes Sport-Tex.

From TGCRUN ( I reposted)
Ordered it about a month ago. When the dealership was owned by Sun Motors I gave them a small deposit almost 2 years ago to be first in line for a Targa. Faulkner has honored the deposit, and once the Targa was announced, I sent them my build along with an additional deposit to get their first allocation. They haven't received their Targa allocations yet, but they told me they're expecting them in a few weeks. Unless they get no allocations, I should be in good shape. Fingers crossed.

Covid 19 Configuration addiction
Not being able to leave my configuration as is, here is my latest delima.
TO CARBON FIBER OR NOT.
Please review the 4 interior photos, 2 with carbon fiber accents, 2 with additional leather trim.
Thoughts? ( Remember, it is only money)
