I am really interested to know what cars you consider as competition. I have honestly always felt that 911’s were in a class by themselves. I also believe that these cars are a bargain. Truly. The C2 will do about 186, right? And it will be able to handle it because these cars are finely engineered. The build quality, engine, performance, and harmony always put it at the top of the expert reviews and tests. I know that we complain about some of the features, but all-in-all, it’s an incredible machine. Anything I would compare it to costs tens of thousands more.

Did anyone watch the Daytona 240 this past Saturday. Arguably every car in the GTD class is considered competition for the 911.
Lexus RC-F
Acura NSX
Ferrari 488
Mercedes AMG
BMW M5/6/8
Lamborghini Huracan
McLaren 720S
Audi R8
Granted, I don't class all of those in the same realm of a Carrera 911 in terms of practicality. However, they are all in competition for the market we buy in. I'd say the M5/6/8 & Mercedes AMG are the closest to a 911 in terms of DD & practicality.
I looked at both the m8/m5 comp & AMG GT-R. YMMV, but they are in the same performance league.

Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren and maybe the Audi R8 are the one cars I think I would consider as a replacement for a 911. And most of them are much more expensive and difficult to purchase. Plus there isn't even a Ferrari, McLaren or Lamborghini dealership up here for service and warranty issues.

...I've chose the 911 time-and-time again. However, I won't dismiss the competition. If anything, brands competing pushes Porsche to build better & better cars every generation; and that's why we are all here on the 992 forum today.
