992 GTS
#16
I wonder when the GTS will be released. I plan to go car shopping at the end of the month and I keep telling myself that I'll be happy with "just" a 4S. But maybe if I wait a little bit longer...

but the GT letters in the GTS badge
anyway from the spy pics is not a naturally aspirated GT engine with 4 seats nor the suspensions
maybe because we don t have the 992 GT2 (yet?) this 992 GTS is still missing the GT side of its GTS badge
at least the 718 GTS has a GT4 engine

Why would they put the Turbo engine in the GTS when history shows they put a slightly uprated S engine, with marginally larger turbos and minimal horse power increase of circa 30hp?
Remember the GTS is significantly cheaper then a similarly specd Carrera S.
The cost of manufacturer alone of the Turbo engine would mean the economics of this don't add up.

Why would they use the Turbo motor in the Panamera and Macan GTS’s rather than tuned S motors like before? Why did 718 Boxster and Cayman GTS’s get GT4 motor instead of tuned S motor like before?
The cost of manufacture of the 3.8TT is substantially similar to that of the 3.0TT. Only the motor used in GT3 and GT3RS and Speedster costs much more to build than the rest (including GT2 RS).

I would take a hard look at it if they did something bold like this. What I think will happen is that they will turn up the boost a little on the 3.0L Carrera S, and charge $150K. Lame. No thanks.
