I am assuming that you are talking 7% on an on-lot car. I do not think with the scarcity of builds and the demand that you will get 7% on an ordered car on an MY 2021 on lot when they arrive.
Most people are getting numbers of closer to 3%.

I called a dealer for an on-lot car and they were prepared to give me 7% but that is a MY 2020 and at this point it has already started its first year depreciation which is going to be a lot more than 7% . At this stage it is better I think to get a MY 2021 with 3% off then a MY 2020 with 7% off - unless you are intending to keep that car forver in which case depreciation is not an issue

Took me a few months but I received 7.5% off on a 2021 C2S Cab order.

7% off a 2021 order is definitely possible, but takes some work. I've even gotten 8% off 2021 orders for clients, just depends on how many allocations a dealer has, when they're expected to lock, the relationship you have, and their motivation. @craig66 and @9114SCV, I've responded to your PM's.

In May I made the decision to go new C2S configured exactly how I want it, as opposed to finding something close on a dealer lot. I started local, but was told the 2020's were done and no allocations as of yet for the 2021's. Called three dealerships in SoCal, Riverside being the most helpful and they could order my car. 8% discount is what I threw out there. Ended up going with a dealer in NorCal because the salesman was the most straightforward. Riverside offered me 2%, then jumped to 4% after I had made the deal for 3% up north. 3%, $12,000 deposit, cash deal, car will arrive around Nov !st. and I couldn't be happier. Finally getting the car I've wanted my entire life.

Did you try Beverly Hills? They are huge and offered me 5% initially and 6% after a little push...
12K is a HUGE deposit, dang! I'd get it back and keep pushing at other dealers...3% is really low.

Default comment on Beverly Hills, and discount for custom build

I'm in Los Angeles County, not near Beverly Hills, and for a custom build with $30,000 of options for a base 992, I am offered 4 1/2% discount.
Before considering purchase of a car in Beverly Hills, I suggest looking at their Yelp reviews dealer rater types of websites.

Cheers.

Just looked...avg 4 of 5...not too bad...always gonna have good and bad at a business like car sales...most of it the fault of dumb buyers.

Did not try Beverly Hills. I might have jumped the gun. I think I could have gotten another percent by shopping around, but at the time allocations seemed to be scarce and I really wanted this car. I ended up with Walnut Creek, and the Sales associate has been good. I think maybe the large deposit was because I told them I was paying cash. Maybe not a good Idea. When its all said and done they'll possibly throw in a cap or a coffee mug hopefully.

I placed my order for 2021 C2S Cab back in July. I'm coming off my BMW Lease in Feb 21 so I was looking for an allocation for delivery around then. Circle Porsche in Long Beach offered me 5% off with $2500 deposit. At that time, I had not discussed financing or options. Delivery is scheduled for end of January. Was debating PEC, but Circle Porsche offered me an afternoon "Porsche Driving Experience" at PECLA a couple of weeks ago, driving a 992S and a Cayenne. It was a blast, a mini version of the formal PEC experience.

LOL, they should as Porsche and dealers make a fortune off 911 sales...
Tell em you're having second thoughts and see if they will move a bit more!

Hmm...seems like 3-6% is normal. Anyone getting 8% out there seems to be a bit difficult as allocations have changed a bit from earlier this summer when a few of us were shopping.

Hi anyone from Ontario have any data points? Looking to order a 992 4S very soon and was wondering what kind of discounts are available (I don't mind out of province, all of Canada is fine)

In Canada, expect MSRP to 3% max, although with allocations pretty much dried up close to MSRP is the more likely scenario. Smaller dealers out West may be more willing to discount, but don't bet on it.

New here and trying to figure out a good discount in Southern California. Has anyone ordered in the last 30-60 days for a custom build. I am looking for a C2S allocation and was wondering if 2-3% is the market now given that allocations or scarce, or should I be pushing for 5-6%. Got some 2% offers but no open allocation commitment yet. Any dealer recommendations appreciated too.

Not sure where in SoCal you are, but I've used Porsche San Diego for 20+ years.
