I am in the LA area, but would have no problem working with dealers in San Diego. I am down there a lot anyway. Any SA there you would recommend?

If SD doesn’t work out Porsche Riverside I’ve heard positive things about. They offered me 4% discount on my C2S back in May. Good luck.

Although I was not able to purchase my car from Carlsbad Porsche I was favorably impressed with them for several reasons: 1.) Carlsbad Porsche never tried to give me any B.S. about their current allocation situation with Porsche USA. They were 100% honest about what they could and what they could not do and when they could do it. 2.) The "Yelp" reviews for their dealership are plentiful and they are extremely positive both for the sales department and their service department. 3.) They matched the best discount I could find anywhere else for a car to be ordered. 4.) The itemized OTD price they provided (in writing) matched what the California DMV site said it should be. 5.) The salesperson we worked with was Santiago Sierra. I would like to recommend him and Carlsbad Porsche highly even though they were unable to acquire an allocation that would have allowed us to complete the transaction. They definitely stood out from the crowd of all the Porsche dealers I tried to buy my car from in California, Nevada and Arizona.

Are my expectations out of bounds?

Any help or direction would be appreciated.

My apologies if this is a repeat of any previous topic. I searched for a previous thread that addressed this topic, but didn't get any hits.

Thanks
I think you will be hard pressed to do better than 5%.

Yeah. Well actually it’s the front steering clunk they can’t figure out. The clunk was present since day one. Then the PDK leaked to point of it being replaced. I’m throwing in the towel.

I ordered through Circle Porsche in Long Beach though I live in the OC. Back in July, I was looking for a C2S Cab but for Jan/Feb delivery. They got me a Jan '21 delivery with 5% off and $2500 deposit down, but again this was back in July. I lock in 4 days. Edgardo Morales-Perez was my SA. He and Eric Ernst (GM) have been very helpful and even let me participate in a mini PEC event they had sponsored last month. Lett me know if you want any more info.

thank you! I'm looking for a C2S MT. Even got tempted with a CPO GT3 MT but no backseats made it a no-go. My main reason for going with C2S over 718 GT4 is to be able to put my two boys in the back since they're still little.

Thanks. With a lock date of the 20th, what would your build date be? Trying to get up to speed on everything, so I can get a better understanding of what SAs are telling me.

I ordered mine through Elvis at Porsche South Bay (Hawthorne, CA). A helpful and smooth transaction.

I am getting a C2. Was able to convert a dealer allocation to a customer allocation two weeks before lock date. My lock date is 10/22. My start build date is like two weeks later and end build date as week thereafter. My delivery date is 1/1/21 but my SA believe it could be here a week or two earlier.
