992 Saggy Seat Bottoms
Has anyone else experienced "saggy seats" in the 992. I have 18-way full leather and I'm relatively light weight. The leather is already puckered as shown in the image. I show a 991.2 18-way seat in for comparison. Even with more miles on it, the old seat looks smooth and fresh. The dealership says that this is just what natural leather does but I worry that the leather will more more like a seat cover after a few years. Porsche reduced the weight of the seats and the thickness of the padding. The quality of the leather also seems to be worse.

Normal bulges on leather seats
I am an engineer (automotive background) from Germany, who owned 4 new Porsche 911 since 1998. All these cars with mileages up to 50.000 never had a problem with saggy seat bottoms. But my new 992 S with 3.500 km has the same problems as shown in the picture of the thread starter. Porsche says: Normal, no technical defect, no repair under guarantee. Leather is a natural material. IMO the leather is not the reason for the fault. The cause of the defect lies in the use of unsuitable material for the seat pads. Resilience of the foam doesnt meet the requirements. This leads to loss of preload of the leather.: Disappearance of the leather bulges during applying a force with the palm to the seat pad from below. A design fault exists. I will seek judicial clarification of the matter in Germany.

I noticed it when I first got the car, but at 5k miles, the seats are now well broken in and these dimples don’t appear like they used to.

Keep us posted on how the courts in Germany rule, if this is indeed a design defect that gets worse and worse over time, we should know and take action. Not acceptable in a car of this caliber and cost.

I'll be very interested in what you find out. As more people have the same experience, pressure may build. I even noticed a comment about this in of the early professional reviews of the car so we are not alone in thinking this is not right.

Wouldn't be happy about it either in my 992, but it happened with GT2 Sport Buckets I had in a 997.2 GTS. Wasn't a lot of padding in those seats either and the rear part of the seat bottom showed similar "sagginess." Fixed it in 15 minutes with a 1500 watt hair drier on high (could also have used a heat gun on low). Used the same technique to tighten up the leather on a 4-way Sport Plus seat.

Doesn’t look normal to me. My 993 is 22 years old and the seat bottoms are tight as a drum.

seems like I see it a lot more on cars with perforated leather.

Would annoy the heck out of me.

def not normal. my 991.2 is as taught as the day it was born after 5k miles.
hopefully porsche makes good on this - i'd go to PCNA if the dealer isn't responsive.
EDIT: and mine are perforated

The seats in my 2011 997.2 GTS with 30,000 miles look like new, and I’m a big guy.
