I don't particularly find that it makes it look outdated

they obviously did this to save money. Less fabrication and assembly differences, more interchangeable parts. GT and Turbo cars might not be wider either...

As a 911 fan versus a specific model "9xx" fan, I appreciate each model.

Of course you were or you wouldn’t have posted that photo. Lol, gladly take the cash instead of car if your offering!

I’ve heard that the new 992 Turbo will be wider in rear but only a rumor—they may make GT3 wider as well to allure the repeat offenders!

First world problems for sure, but seriously . . . I have my eye on something a buddy ran across last week and I have no place to put it. This is something I would actually drive and have been wanting for a while.

*you’re

C’mon you’re better than this. From where I sit I’m not sure seeking your approval is really necessary.

What is with these childish little wars over who’s car is best? My daddy can lick your daddy? Compensating for some other issue? Guy posts a photo of his car and you trash him. C’mon man.

I’ll also say that as an owner of a single Porsche I feel fortunate to drive these great cars. To me there’s even an appeal of a 996 Turbo.

From all accounts the 992 TT will be a great machine!

I was surprised by that move as well, but I have never been a fan of narrow body 911s.

Haha, makes you feel good correcting me.

Dude, I see this as pure entertainment. This all spun off me saying comparing a 991 GT3 RS to base model 992s is like bringing a gun to pillow fight and then he showed me a picture of his 991 . . . well at least he attached it when quoting my comment about his RS which I agreed wss bad ****.

My comments about his car were mild compared to what you guys say about the 992, but seriously . . . That blue with the chrome window trim!

One of the main reasons the 964 was utilized by Singer was that the economics worked to make money. These cars also had the traditional old school look, simpler engineering and with the raised front fenders. 964s can be bought or have been bought at less than 40k and when the work is done there is a very healthy profit and it looks good.

The 996 design was not as well accepted for a retro look and the 993 is too new costing more at the outset, especially when Singer started.

There may be more to it than that but my thoughts...

Hey now some folks like the window trim in aluminum look... personally I’m an aluminum look gas cap fan.

Who is really blasting the 992?? Haters?

Doug, serious we’re discussing 991 vs 992. Fact, interiors are the same which was some of the comparisons .......end of the day there’re all 911’s. The 992 RS will have the same rear end as the non-RS with some more aero-bits. Lastly, my post was about my experience after 5 of them my 991 is a keeper clearly because I prefer the 991 looks RS or not. By the way dealer has about 10 992 sitting ummm yes sitting. Anyway enjoy your Sunday cheers it’s all car talk.

At first I wasn’t sure but every time now I’ve seen a 992 I like it better, particularly when I see them driving as opposed to parked at the dealer.

Agree with an earlier poster though that the cupholder is awful!

I'm still trying to figure which one the OP bought, being that he is posting here. I personally love the infotainment system much better in my wife's X5 but the induction sound at the top of the rev range in my old fashioned 991.1 GTS kind of makes up for it.
