I installed a 70mai 1S mini dash cam extremely small, image quality superb and did I mention very "Cheap"
I've used the 70mai for a 5 years and I am amazed that the overall image and build quality is incredible considering the low cost. Under $100. It beats the Thinkware and Blackvue by a mile! I also use the real camera on my Cab. Yes it can be done. Thinking it may take some serious creativity to use the rear camera on my new Targa GTS.

What is the purpose/benefit of this? Do you take off your rear plate with some frequency?
It looks cleaner, adds a bit more difficulty to plate theft (…something I deal with daily on patrol; most people aren’t rolling around with allen keys when looking to cold-plate a car…..but they do have screwdrivers) and yes, I take my plate off when I wash the car so dirt/grime doesn’t build up underneath/behind the license plate.

which kit did you buy ? Nothing seems porsche specific .
It’s not Porsche specific, but it works great. The mounting plate on our Porsches have 4 guide points to show you exactly where to drill (…as seen in the photo I attached).
