The size looks perfect just wondering if it packs a punch
I have a simular ...yes it works great, I haven't used a shammy to dry a car in 4 years...this does it perfectly within minutes ...blow out rims, mirrors , etc...leaves out of the radiator ...
Not the best clip as it was shot by techs via an Iphone and the revs are limited (3500 max) but it gives some idea... I hate exhaust videos because they just never capture the true sound.
200 cell cats
TFL Italy Rear Section (Tubi founder spinoff company)
Open Valves all the time (M Engineering)
The car really screams at 5k plus but has that lower end grunt that I wanted that was not prevalent with the OEM restricted 700 cats and huge PSE rear section. Ill get some WOT vids up soon
^ My car sounds similar to this. Not sure if your exhaust has valves and is 3" wide.
My rev limiter is toast. When I drive ***** out, it sings. Really sounds nice in Sport + mode when I'm over 5000 RPM. Higher pitch. Enjoy!
I have the Soul 200 that is not part of the rear section but universal so thats 2.75 inches in nature I believe but the rear adjusts to 3".
Are you a manual because I have a rev limiter on the PDK because M Engineering (Scott) said they have had issues with the launch control and the rev limiter so its not ready yet.
^ My rev limiter was removed by M Engineering and I have the same Launch control problem. But that's fine, I can live without doing launch controls, but hopefully they fix it.
I have PDK, not manual.
What makes the difference (and I know I've said this a million times) is if you have a cabriolet. Because with the top open, a wide open, valveless, mufflerless exhaust set up with sport cats is REALLY LOUD, especially over 5k RPM
I can't help but wonder how the sound compares to your V10 supercar....

Great minds ... I just asked Scott to pull my limiter as I wont use LC with my RWD that much.
As for the comparos to the v10--- its apples and oranges for sure. I have Quicksilver Exhaust on the V10 Performance its boderline toooooooooo loud in all settings but thats the beauty of the R8 when you drive it; its definitely prevalent.
Modded vs Modded
Loudness under cruising: R8 is louder
Loudness under load: R8 is louder
Tonal pleasure: A V10 is something to behold and with this modded exhaust I am closer to a true F1 car sound but and this is key; the flat six even with the turbos sounds great with the cat and rear section mods (very LeMans like above 5k)
Ill say this, I am very happy with my GTS mods from the exhaust, tune, to HAS.
Looks awesome, understated and recognized by RL. If was going to keep my car longer it would be a definite upgrade, specially how tatty mine look from track patina. Knowing the Porsche laziness in design, it's probably going to fit the 992.2
