Dealer gave away my allocation slot.

Dealer gave away my allocation slot.
For about 6 weeks I’ve been getting an error message when I tried to track my order online. Today I found out the reason is the dealer had given my allocation slot to someone else and never told me about it.
I put a $5,000 deposit down back in February, and was given a delivery date date of September 13.
I queried my salesman on Tuesday as to why I couldn’t track my order, and he said he’d investigate and get back to me. Today he called me and told me there had been an “Internal error” at the dealer, and my slot had been given to someone else “by mistake”. I was told I could get a new allocation for delivery 6 weeks later than before and was offered a $2,000 discount.
It’s obvious to me that someone at the dealer gave away my slot to another customer for a higher price. I personally find this practice to be very low class, and not what I’d expect from a company of this caliber.
Needless to say I'm not happy, and am debating my options at this point. I’ve already sent an email to a person I was in contact with at Porsche NA, and am waiting to hear back. I’ve also scheduled meeting with the sales manager at the dealer tomorrow to discuss this further.

Plenty of good dealers out there, yours was just scum. I wouldn’t give up the car you want just because of one bad dealer.
