My car just arrived at Emden today. If I'm reading the schedule correctly looks like I have a shot to get on Siem Cicero and arrive in Davisville May 3. We shall see...I have read all the recent shipping nightmares

What's the general consensus now as to how long cars are sitting at Emden? My car got there a few days ago and it's giving me ~1 month from now as the ship date.
Does this mean if my car is coming to Benicia port (aka Northern California ) it will be delivering after 30/5 ?
Not necessarily. I'll say it again...the Volkswagen Export Schedule does not show all ships or all stops. For instance, the RCC Compass seems to indicate nonstop from Emden to San Diego. It has visited three ports before getting to the Panama Canal today. And the Phoenix Leader, which left Emden the week prior and bound for the west coast, is not listed at all.

Depends as much on where the car is going as much as anything else. At the very least, your car is going to sit until there’s a ship headed to the port it needs to go to.
Hey all, finally took delivery of my 23 GTS! Posting VMS timeline here for everyone's knowledge--I know I was exceptionally lucky . Even with "great" production pace, the process of getting ANY car (allocation to delivery) was about 13 months from March 2022 to April 2023.
Ship: Glovis Sunrise, entered San Diego - I didn't get ANY notification about my car leaving the port of entry--it just showed up at my dealer on the day they advertised and updated all at once.
