I was told Fall 2022 for allocation and spring 2023 for delivery on 2S. Another dealer said Summer 2022 for allocation but wanted more over msrp. Seems like they may be starting to build less GT3 and GTS cars now and more Base and S cars.
When I picked up my GTS yesterday, my SA told me the wait is now 2 years. They are #3 in National Porsche sales. So 2 years plus does not seem a stretch for smaller dealerships that get less allocations. SA also said they had a sales meeting and will be refunding nearly all of their GT3 deposits since there will not be many more in the pipeline.
Wow that is worse than what I heard just a month (~9 m to a year) ago. Very deflating for the guys who put down a deposit who knows how long ago hoping to get a GT3
For those that took delivery, did your car disappear from TYD the same day it hit Arrival at Dealer? I got to that point, assume my car is at the dealer, but it's no longer in TYD.
On the waiting list a 992 C2 with PTS. Dealer is hoping for a late 2022 allocation. I thought I was obsessed with the regular configurator, but with 112 PTS colors to choose from, this is a far worse time sink. The current plan is for Azzurro Thetys Metallic paint and the Graphite Blue interior with chalk stitching, but this gets reviewed 5-10 times per week.
My understanding is that P stopped PTS for MY 2022 in mid February. Unsure why; my SA speculated it was due to heavy demand. Odd, since P issued a PR in early 2022 touting increased capacity for PTS and acknowledged how popular it has become.
Once you get an allocation your SA has to push your build date back and find a PTS slot. My allocation came on February 4 for a C2S PTS in Irish Green. Build was originally April but PCNA pushed it back to June initially and now July to accomadate PTS schedule.
This looks good, It’s great to be close. I placed a deposit on September 23, received an allocation in November and now my GTS Coupe is due to arrive in Ct on May 6. I’m getting SunTeK full body PPF with CeramicPro on top of it. Thinking about Tinted windows. Has anyone used Xpel XR Plus in 45%? How about the hue? Is the standard tint slightly blue? They offer Black and Charcoal in 45%. I’m looking for an understated tint that Goes well with Gentian and high gloss black.. any thoughts?
