I managed to ****** a dealer specced GTS for the showroom about a month before freeze date and was allowed any change as long as I didn't go white, black or silver and kept spec level more or less the same. I personally wouldn't have specced the vehicle that high but beggars cant be choosers Delivery to dealer in June and I can collect in autumn.
Sounds like this was a bonus allocation to your dealer. Back in November, several dealers got really high spec Carrera S allocations, but had to remain at the dealer for 90 days, or they had to make two Porsche approved promotional videos. Either way, congratulations!

Could be. They actually offered me an S which was in production and would be delivered really soon (also for the showroom and delivery this autumn) and I was actually going to jump on it and asked just in case if they happened to have any incoming GTS which they said they had and that was it. Jumped on it immediately as things are really slow at the moment. As things are at the moment I really don't care about it being over specced... I rather take that than under specced.
I just signed the papers for my car today and the dealer had all season mats and clear side markers for my car. I had already bought both and still have them wrapped if anyone is interested PM me.

Out of curiosity, was there any difference in the dealer markup they offered for the S compared to the GTS?
Did your TYD update to show when it left the port prior to your dealer notifying you of its arrival?
Yes. It updated pretty quickly. I was surprised it took 4 days after it was put on a truck to get from Jacksonville to Atlanta though. Loaded 03/26 arrived today at about 2 pm. Picking it up tomorrow by 11 am.
