What's crazy is that all the necessary data seems to be in their system already. They just need to build an API to pull the necessary data and update the TYD. Not difficult!
Thanks! I am expecting delays and whatnot, but still excited to get the process started. I signed on to build a new house here 363 days ago, and it's still not done. It was supposed to be ready by July, and now we're hoping to be in right before Christmas. I can find a fun car to hold me over in the meantime, but waiting is going to be hard!
I have friends that built a home in Austin several years ago well before the pandemic. I think start to finish was about 3 years (and several contractors). On the other hand, we had our gut renovation completed in Pasadena in 6 months. Go figure.

That's great! Glad to see that it is moving for you. They sure do leave a LOT of time for transport to the west coast... there is nearly a 1 month difference between our two expected dealer inventory dates despite being produced the same week.
I want to get another update on mine as it's been a week since it started production, but I don't want to make a pest of myself with my SA. How often is too often to ask for an update? Hourly? j/k (I'll likely wait until Friday and ask then since it will have been a week since I last saw him)
Don't trust this right now. I'm in the same place. My TYD was supposed to move to "start production" on 11/12, but it still hasn't updated. Meanwhile, I asked my salesperson to check status on his end and he shows my car entering the body shop on 11/9/21 and I can see a VIN for it.
Ask your salesperson for an update.

That's brutal! Our new close date is Dec 23, so I'm looking forward to this Christmas for the house, and next Christmas for the 911.
If any of us have learned anything from this wait , Its that TYD is far from perfect . best thing to do is use it has a guide to when things were supposed to happen and realize there is a lot of lag time before it actually shows up on your personal TYD . some have better luck then others but I am pretty sure its just dumb luck that it updates on time . I can remember mine showed just finished production and I knew it was on Clovis Chorus heading across the Atlantic . which means I am a short timer here . keep the faith ! don't put to much faith in fake news .
Hey kids - thanks for all the great info and sound opinions on this site. Ordered my first…an Agate C4S with Spyders, Matrix, and full sport packages. V200 on 11/2 with a delivery date of 4/3/22. I now need professional guidance on how to remain patient.
My $0.02: Ignore TYD. Check on it once every few months. And after production starts a few weeks later to see if your photos were loaded.
My 2nd car arrived at dealer yesterday and TYD is still showing on vessel.
My 992 landed in Davisville, RI yesterday 11/15/21 on Siem Confucius, the delivery date however got moved out to 12/17/21. My original dates were loading on the ship 11/19 (but it got loaded 17 days early) and delivery date of 12/10, but it got moved out to 12/17. Does it take 32 days for port processing to the dealer ... the dealer is only 51 miles away. My SA is giving evasive answers about port processing time etc. Just getting really impatient knowing the car is just 50 miles away from me and having to wait a month.
Did anybody have their cars on SIem Confucius and if so what are your delivery dates? and second is it really taking this long at port processing ?

It very well could. I have a Macan GTS that arrived in San Diego on Nov 12 and the dealer eta is not till Dec 10. Dealer is less then 2 hours away. Hope it all happens sooner but not holding my breath.
