you all who got pics and updates - did any of you have your car disappear from My Porsche (and had to go in to TYD via direct link), and then have it come back on its own? or did you all have to contact Porsche NA?
My car still hasn't come back to the My Porsche page. Calling PNA now but just curious
I went through contact us on the web page. But it did come back on the same day as everyone else.
Cars on Mediterranean Highway....hopefully will get the final production pic too....soon..
Hey westsiderkg: love the yellow. After many configs, I finally landed on yellow too. My build freezes in a couple of weeks, but I don’t think I’ll change my mind. Or will I?
My 992 C2 due for delivery in CA has been an Emden for a month now. Only info I got is that the TPMS was the source of the delay and no updates since on when it’s going to be on the vessel. From 9/29, to 10/3, to 10/29, to 11/5 to 12/3 delivery date now. I am no closer to becoming a zen master. Anyone in the same situation for west coast deliveries?
I'm also in CA and have been at Emden for a month. Delivery has gone from 10/26 to 11/5 to 11/26. Hoping it doesn't slip any more. Did your dealer have info about the TPMS? Mine said everything was fine, just that the timing didn't line up for a vessel.
I'm due to be loaded on a ship this week according to the TYD app... I guess we'll see if that happens.

Stick with it!!! My 958 ctt was white...yawn...spice it up!

Fairly similar overall series of delay schedule I have had with my Macan GTS coming to CA. It sat at Emden for just about a month before finally getting on a ship on Oct 18. It is my understanding that there are no TPMS installs at Emden, so if its coming up that you have a TPMS campaign, be prepared for that to be forthcoming upon arrival causing more delays (either port or after it gets to the dealer). My car is set to arrive in CA on Nov 12 but now the dealer ETA is 12/10, so another tacked on month possible. Another member has the exact same schedule as mine with their GT4, so hopefully this is just a general ETA estimate spit out by the system and ends up sooner.
Lots of eye-opening stuff going on in this thread. I ordered a Macan S back in 2019 and didn't have ANYTHING close to this level of detail that's going on for a 992... but all was said and done 3 months after I sat down at the dealer and walked through the configuration. Even got a decent amount off MSRP lol.
So I'll admit I haven't read through all 444 pages in here, hoping someone is willing to help me catch up... where I'm currently at, is I just "announced my intent" to order a 992 through my dealer I previously purchased a CPO 991.2 from; I reached out to the same guy who sold me the 991.2 and said I wanted to order a 992 and had some questions, he answered them all and said to send him a configuration with a code, which I did. My understanding is that formally puts me on a waitlist? He also said there are far fewer folks on the waitlist for an S vs GTS, to the tune of about 6-12 months+ difference, so I was fine with an S. He suggested his dealership could probably get me an allocation and maybe even a car to arrive within 6 months (the dealer I ordered the Macan from told me 12-24 months, although they are an admittedly smaller volume dealer).
Reading things on this forum has me highly speculative, though... chip shortages, stop sales on aerokits (which I've decided I would very much want if at all possible)... I've always maintained that I don't have the patience to deal with ordering a car like a 911, where the anticipation would kill me within a couple weeks, let alone a half year or more... and to be honest, reading all this makes it seem pretty hopeless to even bother.
What is the actual reality for ordering a 992? Am I wasting my time? Should I just focus on finding a tolerable spec on the used market? I can will myself through the wait as long as it's finite, and I can get exactly what I want. Just doesn't feel like that's a possibility after some of the stuff I've read on here lately...
Absolutely insane that I have $160k burning a hole in my pocket and it literally feels like the car I want is unattainable. Just... wow.

6 months to a year is a safe bet. My car should be delivered this week (hopefully). It’s been almost a year of waiting.
You could get lucky, but patience is a virtue. 1 year sounds like forever and if I had known in the beginning that it would be a year, I probably would have given up. And yet here we are.
At a certain point, the car no longer seems real. I still have a hard time believing that a real car is going to be delivered. It’s definitely a different experience waiting this long.
I started the process in April this year. I was offered an allocation in July. My build completed 10/18. Currently at the port waiting for a ship. Schedule delivery in Atlanta 12/5.
I am getting a base Carrera.

Everything good is worth waiting for. If it were me, $160k and tolerable would never be in the same sentence. Its one thing if you find a used 992 that you really love, otherwise I would suggest taking a leap on the order process. It is just one of the amazing things about how Porsche sells their vehicles, I think it makes any spec from a simple optioned base Macan to loaded GT3 that much more special for its owner. I never ever thought I would be waiting what is looking like will be just about 7 months for a Macan GTS (originally quoted about 2 1/2 months), but I do know when it arrives, I will have exactly "my car" and no regrets of settling.

Yeah, my dealer gave me this explanation, which with the disclaimer that I am no automoble engineer, didnt make much sense - I mean how can the final inspection be deemed completed if the TPMS is yet to be installed. Sounds more like BS due to logistics issues. I guess I sit and wait
