Mine just got completed and date moved to 7/16 arriving in Baltimore. What ship will that be?

If your car has finished production, it could definitely be to Baltimore before mid July. The shipping schedule has not been posted yet for mid July arrivals in Baltimore. If your car is completed, there's a good chance it could make it on the Mediterranean Highway. That is currently in Rhode Island and will be headed to Emden shortly, arriving in Emden in 10-12 days. The schedule has it back in Baltimore around June 25th. See attached.

When my car was originally scheduled to be delivered on July 9th, I thought it could be in Baltimore by June 25th, but the car isn’t scheduled to arrive in Emden until 6/11 so I’m not sure it will get loaded in time. However, I don’t really think it will take ten days to drive from Stuttgart to Emden, so maybe it’s possible. It should be less than an 8-9 hour drive with breaks lol. We are going crazy because we old our 991.2 Targa too soon and really miss it.

What’s a little odd is the detail page has my car ready for transport but the main page still has my car at “ready to be produced”. I was hoping for a photo or two.

The TYD dates are not necessarily accurate at this point. All "expected" dates listed are Fridays and they use standard intervals for projecting those dates. So if yours has completed CP8.0 this week and is ready for transport, the default arrival date in Emden projected in TYD would be next Friday. They also use a 3 week interval as a placeholder for the amount of time the car spends in Emden, so they'd be projecting a July 2 date out of port and then 2 weeks to Baltimore. It would be unusual for it to take more than a few days to get to Emden, and then the actual date on a ship depends entirely on the shipping schedule - so don't bank on your TYD dates.

Thumbs up 992

My 992 is on its way from Germany…estimated date at dealer is June 18th. I ordered the car 3 months ago. 6 months ago I order a 2021 Cayman GTS 4.0. It was built and shipped . When it arrivied at the US, Porsche placed a “NO NOT SELL” order on the car…due to an engine rod issue. Apparently there were over 150 vehicles affected, mine being one of them. I have no idea what Porsche has done with this car or the others. I changed to the 992 ASAP, was lucky that my dealer had an allocation. Very excited about getting this car, my last 911 was a 2009 coupe….

My dealership has one of those in the showroom. They are waiting for new engines (complete) coming over from Germany.

Update on those who share my dates. My start build date passed on 5/28 and still stuck in scheduled for production on TYD. Estimated arrival date moved from 7/16 to 7/23 and now 8/6 all over last few days! At least they are paying attention to my spec

Gentian blue with Spyder wheels on my C2S. I too switched from night blue originally.

Great info. Quick question - does TYD ONLY update on Fridays? Meaning the car may actually reach a new milestone on a Tuesday, but won't reflect on TYD until Friday? Or is the Friday thing only for expected future dates and milestones update when actually reached?

No TYD will update every night. Usually during the day a milestone will update to red and show as complete but still with an estimated date. Then overnight it will update to actual date completed.

My build was scheduled to lock on June 1. It did and showed “milestone completed”. Then today, June 2, my lock date moved back to June 29 and the milestone reverted back to “order created” with June 2 as the date. The order date was early May and I believe was in TYD as May 14 milestone date originally.

My car’s ETA also changed from 8/20 to 9/3 but I am placing no faith in that anyway. I expect delays. Hopefully not including a long EPA/CARB delay but we shall see...

Does all of this sound like the typical, odd TYD behavior? I expected some moving targets but was very surprised to see my order go from frozen back to unfrozen for another 27 days.

Similar here. My order date was 5/12, lock 7/19, at dealership 11/10. Now order date shows 6/2, lock date 9/8 and at dealer 12/10. Strange, like it reset today.

All this talk of dates being pushed back made me check mine - change freeze date has now been pushed back over a month with the car delivery date pushed back by a week.
