Is the next ship to leave Emden the Siem Aristotle? Leaves on the 25th? Any idea when I would expect to see if car is loaded on? My T arrived in Emden on the 15th and going to Davisville.

appears to be so. my car is supposedly on the way to Emden as of June 21 so TBD if it makes it for this trip or needs to wait...
Good to hear you made the Crystal Ray...I missed that ship by 1 day.
I thought I was in good shape when I found out I actually made a ship 2 days later but come to find out that ship does not go through the Panama Canal...it sails down to the Magellan straight clear around the southern tip of South America. This adds an additional 3 weeks to the trip...JEEZ!
I was expecting for it to hit San Diego around the 3rd week in July, but the schedule now shows August 4....so I won't take delivery until mid August. I know the weather around Cape Horn can be horrendous as well, so who knows.
I'm in the Phoenix AZ. area, my dealer trucks in delivered cars from the Port of San Diego.
Are you sure your car is going to Benicia....Crystal Ray is dropping off cars in San Diego on 7/16
Congratulations on the anniversary and new car...should be a fun day at PEC.
We will also be doing PEC later this year, but my wife says we will be using the PEC cars...LOL!
Steve
I guess that’s how bad the Panama Canal is these days, bypassing and going around the Horn. Water levels are so low, some of the heavier ships are partially offloaded prior to the locks…
I’m in AZ too, so see what happens when my car is on the water…

I'll have a good idea in a few days as the ship gets closer to the Caribbean...if it continues to sail west towards the Panama Canal, that's probably a good sign...but if it tracks south before the Caribbean, then I'll know it's going around the horn.
The TYD shipping route still shows Panama but once the car is loaded onto a ship, Porsche has little control on the actual route.
sk911 the good news is your build to depart, maybe you'll be lucky and just go through the canal. I'm learning from this site but perhaps there is a load of VW's or something else bound for South America?

Best wishes!!!
Yeah...I agree, it will be here when it gets here.
So far, it's been a very smooth experience and I have been very lucky when comparing my order experience to others.
I placed my order on May 10, so to have it finished on June 10th and loaded on to a ship on its way to me by June 17th...I have zero complaints!
Finally graduated. Picked up mine on Saturday (22nd). Could have taken the delivery 2 day earlier.
Haven’t driven it any where yet beside from dealer to home. Next is PPF.
Here is the customary graduation picture. (Forgot to take a photo at the dealer, was too excited and anxious to drive it home )
Best wishes to everyone to get yours without too much delay
My car left the Emden port heading to California today. How do I see what ship it's on?
You can contact your SA at the dealer or if your comfortable using a windows PC and viewing source code, you can see the ship using this way:
1. Log in to your Porsche account. 2. Bring up your TYD page and click it and now you're at "On its way: Your 911 ..." 3. Right click anywhere on this page and select "Inspect" then columns will pop up to the right side where you'll see the source codes for this page. 4. Go to the top of this column find "Network" and click on it. 5. Refresh the web page you're currently on. 6. Source codes will load up again, now with hundreds of lines of items. 7. Once everything loads up, go to the filter section located near the top left of the columns and type "api.porsche" this narrows down the lines we're looking for. 8. Click the line that has your commission number in it. Should look like "USMxxxxxx", file type has to be Fetch/ XHR not preflight. The file type can be changed near the top of the page ...below the filter box. 9. Expand the "Current Location" line.
10. Expand the "Position" line.... the results should read Ident: "IMO_########" <--- this is your ships identifier and location at the time of the update. 11. Go to vesselfinder.com and paste in the IMO identifier and you'll see the ship that you're on or paste the complete IMO number into your browser to track the ship at the various ship tracking sites.
