Any guesses on how long Amethyst Ace will spend in Tuxpan MX before making its stop in Freeport? Delivery is getting close!
I'm guessing that the Amethyst Ace won't be to Freeport until April 10th. It Is running about three days behind schedule the best I can tell. I have a car on the Ace bound for CO.
Pre-trade-in day is hard, but collection day is the BEST!
She’s home safe and finally in the garage. Tomorrow starts decontamination wash, paint correction, PPF and ceramic coating. Then she will be ready to drive and enjoy for the nice spring time weather.
Thanks to my SA and dealership for making this fast, painless and simple. 8-weeks for buyers order to custom delivered build spec car was simply amazing. Some pics.

Congrats on probably having the fastest order to delivery time on Rennlist in a while and beautiful spec. Now time to get rid of that Corvette memorabilia

Thanks! Would also need to sell the two Corvettes as well and make more room for Porsches.
Apparently there is a slew of estimated July deliveries on the docket: I had a GTS Coupe allocation and swapped it for an S instead, both with mid July dates. Just before the factory goes on vacation! The GTS rides just too rough on the street for me.
Good news! As frustrating as it is to not get a car you’ve ordered, it must be uniquely frustrating to not get a car you’ve already taken delivery of. You would think they would prioritize European Delivery folks.
yea, European delivery was suppose to be first week is December ‘23 and us delivery in Jan ‘24. There are some folks that did the ED and been had there cars since Jan ‘24. Crazy how a few days delay ended up being months
This is great news!
I’m sure you don’t remember, but my car arrived at Emden a couple of weeks before your’s. Nice to see both our cars are on their way! 😀

My C2S is on the Siem Cicero - it left Tuxpan early Saturday morning and is scheduled to arrive in Freeport at 10:00 pm Sunday. It only spent maybe 14 hours in Tuxpan. It did sit off the coast of Tuxpan for a day waiting for its turn to dock.

Siem Confucius just hanging off the east coast of England waiting for some nasty weather system and waves to ease. Looking at wave forecast I bet it doesn’t clear the English Channel until mid week.
Update: my 992 was delivered to the dealer today, but my SA is off Sundays (and was originally on the SFL Conductor!). Should be picking it up tomorrow.

The GTS has the same suspension and chassis as the S (plus helper springs), so make sure not to option the Sport package (specifically SPASM) if you felt the GTS rode too rough.
You can also option the softer suspension on the GTS, but it kind of defeats the purpose (and you're paying the upcharge for the sport suspension, even if it not selected, on the GTS).

I may stand corrected, but from all accounts the suspension is different on GTS. The higher spring rates on stock GTS mirror the Turbo S, plus helper spring similar to Turbo S (note Turbo S comes standard with PDCC; can be options on GTS). The optional 10mm raised GTS softens the suspension rate, making it the equivalent of a stock S (PASM). When the S is optioned with SPASM, it gets firmer, but not GTS firm.
