It’s been doing this since Saturday - storms and high waves exiting the English Channel to the Atlantic. A little odd as other vessels, container, tanker and car transports have pushed on, but safety first. Another storm has pushed rough seas right into the mouth of the channel, but I hope it can set off by Wednesday.

Not sure where these vessel tracker sites get their ETAs from. I wonder if it’s from the VW schedule. If so, explains why the ETA is 4/15 to Tuxpan even though the ship is off the coast of Mexico https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais...l:AMETHYST_ACE

Congratulations. I saw this one at the Porsche Arlington on Sunday. C2S cab. Looked good.

man this is excruciating. That ship was delayed in Baltimore, went to Mexico for some reason before Texas, and now is just sitting off Tuxpan. I really hope the ETA isn’t accurate and it doesn’t idle there for the next six days.

I think the schedules are all messed up due to the bridge collapse and re-routing traffic in the area. The Siem Cicero is setting in the Gulf with an ETA into FreePort 4-6-2024 which was 3 days ago. The Amethyst Ace is steaming in towards Tuxpon port about 7 nm away with an ETA of 4-15-24. Nothing makes sense.

Thanks for this info. Looks like it is going through the channel now. I’ll check this evening to confirm.

Better they wait a few days for the storm to pass, than sink with all the cars onboard.

Yeah at this point all we can do is wait. Hopefully that ETA is wrong and the ship doesn’t just sit there for 6 days

I received an email from Porsche saying that my Turbo S is ready to embark from Germany to the US. However, when I log onto TYD, there's only one picture (body shop) and the end of manufacturing date says 4-11. Does TYD upload pictures all at once or as the car is going through the build process? Thanks!
