Official waiting room for those with a new 992 on order --- come on in !!
I spoke to the sales mgr at my dealer. He said the estimated ship date is listed as 3/29 with delivery into Baltimore around 4/9-4/10. Then said it will take around 2 weeks to get to the dealership. Then need to ship it to myself in TX since they can't (or won't) do a courtesy delivery. Doesn't match up with any ships so the dates will slide if Violet Ace is correct on the latest schedule. He also said his system is showing that the chip repair has been completed - hope that's correct. This whole thing has left a very bad taste in my mouth with Porsche as a brand. First, the general arrogance of dealerships in securing a vehicle (esp in TX) and now the "is what it is" attitude about a multiple month delay. I know - no one cares and I can only really voice my vote with my dollars.

I’m happy and hopeful for you.
But why is my car, which was completed before your’s on 1/15, still sitting at the port with a revised projected load date of 3/30 to Davisville?
The only explanation I can think of is: The older cars are at the back of the lot, so they need to load and ship out the newer ones in order to get to the ones in the back.

However, if they don’t move our cars forward we will alway be inaccessible 🥴🥴🥴
Damn - the date of the. next ship to arrive in Jacksonville is 4/25/24 ‼️

Thank you for the nice words. I'm very traditional (perhaps some would say boring) in my wheel choices. I love a simple 5-spoke design and these are very close to what I chose for my 2017 Turbo build.
@ajhun9 You said something interesting: your sales mgr stated he could see that the chip replacement took place while your car was sitting in Emden? If you don't mind, can you ask him where in their internal tracking system he sees that? Hopefully you're on good terms with them and he doesn't mind sending a screenshot over. :-)
For those of us with cars sitting in Emden since ~January and likely had the offending chip, it would be good to know whether Porsche was proactive and replaced them while the cars were sitting idle the past two months. When and if our cars ever make it to the US, at least that's one less delay at the dealership we need to worry about.

Well, this is strange. according to SIEM CICERO, Vehicles Carrier - Details and current position - IMO 9762534 - VesselFinder, our boat is go into the Netherlands next
Huh?
Huh?
My 911 is on the ship and just left the port
Update: I checked the Emden Port schedule and the only one that left today was the Siem Cicero…I will verify with my SA on Monday, but I bet it’s on that ship. Spent 3 whole days at the port! Nice surprise!
Does anyone know which Roro(s) left Emden on the 15th? How do I find out which vessel it is on?

Got my email!!!
I am onboard the Siem Cicero en-route to Port Davisville on 3/29/2024. For those following my car was finished on 2/28 and landed at Port Emden on 2/29. Who are my shipmates?
