Official waiting room for those with a new 992 on order --- come on in !!
Per my recent research 15 foot swells are really nothing for a ship that is 200m (656 ft) long and 38m (125 ft) wide.
Also keep in mind that SIEM Confucius is one of two very new ships that were launched in 2020. They are fairly advanced in comparison to the other RO-ROs that have been in use for 10 to 20 years.
Edit: The first stop, Port Davisville is possibly backlogged so they have pulled back on the throttle and went northward to potentially avoid a storm? Just a guess.

The Davisville arrival date and time are constantly changing via live tracking from the 22nd to the 23rd to the 24th. It would seem that they are waiting for this storm to move out. It was originally scheduled to arrive in Davisville on the 19th.

Keep in mind that high swells will linger for several days afterwards. Once they resume heading towards RI it will not be at the average cruise speed of 14-16 knots.

@Icegrill I appreciate it. Ha re the new crest! Honestly it is not that big of a deal to me. Plus it is easily replaceable in the event anyone wants to later swap out for the new one. Hopefully you will keep us posted on your journey with yours in the T thread? Out of curiosity when did yours finish assembly?
Edit: BTW, seeing your painted front lip makes me regret not ordering it on mine. My driveway would probably have taken it out pretty quickly though.
