Official waiting room for those with a new 992 on order --- come on in !!
6th Gear
Also have not seen any Aerokits until a couple weeks ago. Could be a backlog now working its way through. Good to see that at least! I would have gladly upgraded to the Burmeister if It meant I
didn't have to wait 3+ months longer.

My build for an executive Panamera 4 Hybrid was approved and locked by Porsche and just several weeks ago I read on Rennlist that the Bose system on my order had been dropped and I called my SA - who is the dealer sales manager also- and he called back to confirm that yea the Bose system had been removed and a $1,500 credit given the order. Why can’t I upgrade to the Burmeister I asked. Response the next day was that the vehicle was “locked” and I was stuck with the base stereo system on my $165,000 configuration. I was never called and given this alternative of adding the Burmeister stereo at the very reasonable price of over $7,000. This leaves me pleased but annoyed at the same time. I am not sure I would have agreed to this crazy pricing of the Burmeister but at the same time a 150 watt amplifier in a $165,000 luxury vehicle seems anemic at best. Any other four door luxury sedan from BMW, Mercedes or Lexus would always have high end stereo systems installed even in the base configuration. This base stereo should also reduce the resale value of this car as well.
yet the C8 That will build at the factory on December 19 has a Bose stereo and no mention of an amplifier shortage on this higher volume vehicle.
All very suspicious - and now the Burmeister is in short supply as well? Is there one audio chip that all these stereo’s use that is not available?
Worst part of this is no one at any dealer I talked to has ever heard this “base” stereo system in the Panamera. So no news as to whether it is horrible or at least passable. Some employees at Bose need to get the Musk treatment.
Dare I ask, “ has anyone actually heard the base stereo in a Panamera?”.

I’ve gotten that question a few times; some of my reasoning…
I respect the view that the T is meant to be lightly specced, without the power folding mirrors, etc., but for me living with this car year round in/out of a big city, I’m comfortable straying from the car’s true form a bit for my own personal enjoyment. It may be the only T with Burmester, but that’s the beauty of Porsche! The best spec is the spec you love
- The T is more “unique” than a C2
- Every option that comes on the T I would have specced on a C2 anyway
- T specific options (rear seat delete, lightweight glass, removal of sound deadening etc.) are all important to me

So true! This is how one should build a car - in a way that makes the right car for YOU. Who cares if it makes sense to anyone else. They are not paying for it or driving it.

However, I also have a 992 C2S on order — for 13 months already and nowhere near production line — so once I get the T, I can patiently wait for the 992.2 C2S.

I'll post them up when it lands. The interior is the Heritage Design option in Classic Cognac. I've yet to see an Arctic Grey car in person so am keeping everything crossed it looks good. I did a couple of speed shape spray outs of the colour to keep me going whilst waiting for the car to be built and it's a colour that changes dramatically depending upon the ambient lighting levels. It can go from looking quite a light grey (as it does in the factory photo) to looking fairly dark (my speed shape photo).

Quick update, my C2 GTS with Aerokit (that had been in production since 8/24) was CP8.0 12/16...then yesterday updated to 12/09...then this morning shows production complete 12/05 and en route to the port! Maybe a batch of Aerokits came in and they are knocking them out. Hopefully yours will be done this week too!

I have very similar build to yours: C2 GTS with Aerokit and kept got pushed back to 12/16. Today I logged in to my account, Track Your Dream is gone. I assume yours works as intended?
"Dear Customer,
PCNA is aware of new delays in shipping completed vehicles currently awaiting loading in Port of Emden. The delays are due to shipping vessel availability disruptions and labor shortages at the Port of Emden that are largely outside of Porsche’s control. This is a very dynamic situation, and PCNA is working diligently with the VW Group to help minimize car shipment delays.
Due to a supplier issue outside of our control, we are currently experiencing a shortage of 12V auxiliary batteries designed specifically for the Taycan. As a result of this situation, certain completed Taycan vehicles, are currently being held at the factory until the 12V auxiliary battery can be installed. We are working diligently to address this issue, and regret that your anticipated vehicle delivery date is being delayed. As always, we ask that you stay in close contact with your Porsche dealer for updates on this dynamic situation."
My car is due to be loaded onto the vessel in Emden in 4 days. Do you think this above memo on TYD will affect it as this memo has been active for quite awhile?
