Maybe I am misremembering what I read, but I thought they changed it to once the lock date has been reached. Something new post-restart. And it still wouldn't explain why I had a car in TYD 3 days after placing the order, although that was pre-lockdown so it's an invalid data point now :-)

Yep, they changed it. It’s now active when the Vin is generated. Trust me, I check every day, lol.

Out of interest, what value is knowing the VIN before the car arrives?

Yeah, I did the yellow belts to match the brakes. I wanted to have a little pop of color in the interior. They don’t have the belts in Python (maybe they’ll add them later). Lizard green would be too bright to match the Python, so I figured yellow would be the best option (although technically the yellow belts and brakes are too different colors).

Dealer told me cars usually show up about 30 days after being built. They figured it’ll get built earlier in November so hopefully show up middle to end of December.
