But how can that be true, it's not mid engined....

the shaver **** is simply a joke. It goes to show you how bad the C-suite is to allow it to happen.

Ultimately, the ultra-conservatism of 911 design will kill it off.

Not to mention, the slow electrification of 911 and boxster/cayman. Tesla will take most of market shares of premium sports car when roadster and cheaper variant are released
All the good execs got swept out with Dieselgate.

Porsche 992 shifter
Finally a shifter that sounds better than the turbo motor it controls, an industry first again!

992 EPIC FAIL in design. That hood line UGH. So ugly it hurts.

I'm sure it will be fast on the track and on paper, but yet this is another step into BMW / BENZ / AUDI luxo barge mode. What a shame.

That said, the GT cars I still think are great. Andreas P. is keeping it real for the rest of us. #PreuningerForPresident

991 will be a daily driver/commuter. I got the non-S because I actually didn't want the extra power - I learned that from the Fiat, being able to use more of the engine delivers more driing engagement. I think the C2 will suit me just fine.

This has been helpful in pushing me closer to keeping the 124.
watching this guy effortlessly drift an ND miata (albeit on snow tires) on an on ramp makes me want one. P cars have gotten so serious, and the limits have gotten so high...

The GT cars are the only thing that keeps me interested in Porsche. But unfortunately I'm not in a position to buy one right now...

Unfortunately, even if it IS a very nice car, 95% that are sold will be automatic, artificially inflating the price of the only version I would ever drive [with 3 pedals], which means I won't even be able to consider a 992 even at the bottom end of the depreciation curve. I suppose at least Porsche still offers a third pedal so I shouldn't complain, but it's sad to see most everything new on the market turn into more fake noise/fake exhaust cutout, electronic, automatic, focus-group led sameness jellybean garbage

I wish rims would get a tad smaller and higher profile tires would come back. Just a little higher profile. If you look at real race cars (even Porsche), they don't have super large rims and low profile tires.

Try a Fister exhaust, always on, no switching on and off. Neighbors love it!

They mentioned the controversial 996 fried eggs during the LA launch - they've realized that just wasn't enough to start your day so now you get two strips of bacon, a spot to hold your Venti Starbucks, and you can even shave after your breakfast - all on the way to the office.
