991.3 means we know it'll drive well, unlike the current travesty being sold as a 3 series.

Obviously off topic, but that truck packs 790hp of electric motors! It ain't pretty in the front or back, and it's gonna fail at $70,000 and up, but it will do 0-60mph in 3.0 seconds and up to 400 miles of range, so that's something to applaud.

OK, back to disappointment about the 991.3....

Yes, it's just a 991. Except for an entirely different rear end, different wheel track, entirely different front end, different wheels and sizes, and an entirely different interior. Other than that, they're exactly the same.

That picture looks like someone took a plastic 993 model and left it too close to a hot stove.

Look at the youtube video of a base 991.1 (3,4) vs an M4. The 911 is down a substantial amount of HP and an even more enormous amount of torque, yet the 911 is faster around the track.
Absolutely and exactly my point. Most people apply overly simplistic logic to the argument that the Cayman is faster/more sporty than the Carrera, when it's far more than just assuming mid engine > rear engine and that all it would take was the same power in the Cayman and it would wax the Carrera. It's just nonsense. On a windy road my Carrera S would wax my Spyder and it would do it will a lot less effort on my part. That said, I still prefer the Spyder.

Maybe that's where the designers inspiration came from?
