Driven hard but not driven at the track does not commute.

Dude, if you drive like that on public roads you are lucky you still have your drivers license. If you really want to push your car without being restless and not go to jail, hit the track.

Lol. Not my taste, but just look up TX2K and FL2K. Street cars get shipped from all over the world especially to TX2K. To your point though, few years back cops set up a sting on TX2K and impounded over 140 cars, the subsequently had to release due to the folks that were targeted are sharks and went after the county with their bottomless bag.

Sad to see Roofer spend yet another weekend trolling RL.

McLaren is fast in the corners as well, they are not just a straight line car.

I always wondered what rich people do for fun; clearly it's argue with people on the internet like us poors. Who would have thought we are so similar.

Some of these comments forget mclaren is still a mclaren. A company that is still struggling by today’s standards. Artura owners some without their car for 2+ months. Yes 750S is pretty “bullet proof” but for how long will they be around and how can they (or not) stand behind their cars? Mclaren as a company has had so many issues, management failures, look no further than F1. The company’s issues plaguing the cars follow a similar pattern. Maybe a cultural problem and why cars from UK share some common not so great attributes and in the case of Mclaren these issues are exaggerated due to risky steps the company took.

McLaren is doing quite well in F1 this season. People buy McLarens because they're great cars, a level above Porsches IMO. And if you actually put miles on a Porsche, they're not as bulletproof as many would like to believe.

I really admire McLaren, but there are a few important aspects of Porsche GT cars that keep me from defecting to McLaren:

1. Reliability
2. Warranty that covers track use without pre and post dealer inspection and applies to subsequent owners (McLaren only covers track failures for original owner during first 3 years who observes requirement for pre and post track event dealer inspection).
3. Euro Delivery
4. Much better retained value
5. Ease of DIY service
6. Availability of Manual gearbox and NA engine

Yes and they wait weeks for parts when their car breaks down. If you actually drive your cars, probability of mclaren breaking is much higher. I just have heard so many horror stories. And then there is depreciation. Drive 10k miles and you lost $150k if bought new.

DIY aspect of Mclaren is also a terrible let down. You cant even put aftermarket wheels or change oil.

McLaren is still an exotic to a certain extent and produce only a fraction of the total cars that Porsche does.

So with that comes along all the idiosyncratic nuances that is inherent in all exotics. Be it Ferrari, Lamborghini or McLaren.

You want the ease and convenience of a mass market volume production car, stick with Porsche.

And to be honest Porsche isn’t all that much more reliable than a McLaren, nor are parts availability that much better.
