992.2 GT3 (What Do We Know?)

Funny thing that as F1 moves away from MGU-H as the tech is deemed "too complicated" and "not road relevant", Porsche actually went for it instead of focusing on brake regeneration.
A potential negative is that this will probably add to the already pretty tame engine sound on the turbocharged engines.

I'm sure it will grow on me, but I'm not feeling those vents.

With this piece of the puzzle in place, it seems possible that we might see:
- A 992.2 Turbo S with twin-turbo hybrid system and Active Ride (made possible by the 400V battery system). Maybe keeping the 3.8L engine?
- A 992.2 GT2 RS using the base 992.1 GT3 RS platform as a starting point, and the Active Ride + engine/hybrid system used in the 992.2 Turbo S

We may never see a 992 generation GT2 RS.

*Side note. 992.1 GT3 configurator is gone.

I was disappointed that this new clean-sheet engine is integrated dry (wet) sump. Since the GT3 was rumored to eventually transition to some form of this engine, I was hoping it was a true dry sump (or maybe it’s modular and external tank can be added along with traditional GT3 features (titanium conrods, ITB’s, etc.))

Maybe the vertical air slats have to open at Vmax for cooling and that increases drag dramatically...

I... like it. The front gills are functional active aero so I can't hate it. Electrifying the turbo is a great idea. The MAJOR issue is no manual. For me at least.

Anyone else a little surprised on the weight gain? 50kg (110 lbs) is a ton of weight on a 3500 lb car
