992.2 GT3 (What Do We Know?)
#286
Cleaning lady or not his info is correct. I have mentioned about the 541bhp gts last september/october and everybody thought it was misinformation. Now we have a photo of it at the ring from last september.
Read the other 992.2 discussions. A company that sell 50k cars per year of average price close to 200k must do a serious production schedule. It should also do serious monthly allocations with the customers i.e the dealers.
In July the first 992.2 (base/gts) are being produced and will be sent to the dealers. Don’t you think the dealers know about this? Or do you think they will get the info on the 28th and start ordering cars in June?
This is a major operation and everything is handled many many months in advance.

@silversurfer there is speculation on this forum that .2 GT3 may have 2+2 seating. How much likely is that.
Thanks
Thanks

Some sources here in the EU (newpapers, magazines, etc ) are now point to an end of May announcement, interestingly 28 May.
Also the hybrid 992.2 completed the Nordschleife in 7:16.934, which is 8.7sec faster than its predecessor (although we don't know exactly which model Porsche is referring to), I think we're getting closer to the presentation

May 28th is the World Premier of the 992.2 Carrera. Porsche announced this in their press release yesterday.

Also, we know which model they are referring to that just lapped the Ring since the time was 7:16.934 which is 8.7 secs faster than its predecessor. That reference ring time equates to the 992.1 Carrera GTS. It had the fixed Aero Kit too.

I am told by a poster on RL that much "sadness" is coming.

If the .2 Touring is not a 4L ICE engine I guess I'll just cry while I'm enjoying driving my .1 Touring.
