Or just using the GTS 3.6L and two BW eturbos. Should be good enough for 700+bhp.

Seems that, with equal tires, 992.1 GT3 is still faster around the 'ring than the 992.2 GTS.
So all Porsche really needs to do with the 992.2 GT3 is increase the hp by a nominal amount and improve the suspension by using dampers and ***** similar to the 992.1 3RS.
Could slightly increase the aero also, but I don't think the GT3 will get fender vents or NACA ducts. Could give it some active aero, but that will add some weight.

In the US, does the seating configuration have any effect on insurance?
I seem to remember many years ago that a 911 insurance was much lower because even though it was a 2 door it was a 4 seater.
So does having the 911 in a 2 door 2 seat configuration insure differently than a 2 door 4 seat?

I think this is bad news for future GT3s good news for the current GT3 owners. For the new GT3 variants, if they want to keep them NA only, there is a lot more work to be done than before. The PDK needs to change, all the accessory drives are now 400V according to the car and driver article.
Based on this, the next gen GT3 is probably a NA hybrid. They will probably increase the displacement of this engine slightly, but keep the electric generator / motor inside the PDK.
No more manual on 992, I'll wager the next GT3 is NA PDK Hybrid only too.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see a NA 4.2 send off.

Heard a rumor that there will be an initial limited run of NA GT3s followed by a hybridized model.

Yes, I made that crap up. If I had to guess, every .2 GT3 and 3RS built will be NA and they will be plentiful. But Porsche will also incorporate some of the ADM dealerships have been charging into the MSRP while making a few options standard and maybe bumping up the HP/Torque numbers slightly.
Porsche can read it's customer base quite well and there's no logic (that I can see) to them limiting their profits by forcing something they know the GT crowd doesn't want.
