The stock muffler isn't great as it's gigantic, heavy and the expansion going into it post cat kills power. Buy a product you can resell for high value, and put a complete system on your car... 992 GT3 Street headers and a Lifetime Loud Muffler will sell quickly used when removed from the car!
I just bought a full system for my 992 3RS, and I can say nothing but great things about Dundon Motorsport, the gentleman on the phone with us discussing all kinds of questions and car talk.
Great Customer Service, can't wait to have it on and ear that beautiful motors tone.
I'll post some videos and sound pics of it when done, I couldn't find one at all for the new 3RS.
Here is a thought, let me know your opinions, I would like the most bang for my buck to get a more aggressive sound over stock. I tend to trade cars more frequently than most so I need an easy flip back to stock if need be to turn in to dealer. The dealer probably wouldnt like it if I have chipped out the OPFs, but this does sound like the most economical option, but my thought was if I already have the headers off why not just change the headers out with high flow cats which eliminates the OPFs, for around $4-5k and leave the stock catback. This way I probably pick up at least 15hp as well as get the sound I want. A catback valved system would be as much or more and wouldn’t get much of a HP gain. Has anyone done this and thoughts? This would also be an easy switch back to stock if needed
dealer won’t know if you did OPF delete. And you don’t necessarily have to remove the header to delete the OPF
So we tried reaching out to each of you individually. Made a nice offer to save each some dough without the hassle of 1 guy bailing and ruining for all of you.
it seems that the expectation of a “Group buy” is that the parts are free or close to free. They don’t cost us any less to build as we build them in batches of 20…. So in essence the ask is that we offer an impromptu sale just for the members of the group buy.
Tried and the offer it seems wasn’t compelling.
I’m willing to try this:
992 Gt3/RS street headers and Ultralight Ti muffler:
3 of you self organize and pay with a single bank wire- $1500 off. Will need all names, addresses etc of each buyer we will calculate shipping and give the total back for the systems
5 if you self organize and pay with a single back wire for all 5 systems $2000 off
8 of you self organize and pay wirh a single bank wire for all 8 systems $3000 off the total.
Ti mufflers are 3-4 week lead time. 8 at a time is likely 6-8 week leadtimes.
The good news is I finished the iPE titanium exhaust system install. Drove for about 50 miles the first day, all good. When I drove it around today, the CEL light came on when I got home. Very disappointed since I was not expecting that to happen if I still have a catted system. I'll be calling the dealer tomorrow and see what the next step is.

PIWIS Tool: Get to a porsche garage and have them reset the ecu to relearn the valve operation and also the new sport cats airflow. Once done, no codes.
Has anyone seen a good video or explanation of how to remove the headers on 992 GT3? I have seen some videos but they aren’t very detailed. Just looking for some tips and tricks or some detailed instructions for things to look out for. I want to remove the OPFs and it’s seems like I can remove the headers without removing the rest of the exhaust. Tips like gaskets that may need replaced or heat shield that may not need to be remove. Things like that. Thanks
It actually is quite easy. I watched the Fabspeed, header and muffler, install video on YouTube and studied the Acro and Dundun installation manuals. Those three sources gives you in depth in detail whole system, removal and installation.
Did you just reuse the the old gaskets? There a gasket that at the header manifold and the gasket that is in the cat housing that hooks to the rear exhaust
Since my GT3 is new i reused the metal header gasket. It was in perfect condition. The other gasket you refer to from the cat/opf to the muffler does not exist on 992 GT3. There is a band that goes over the cat and muffler that couples the two parts together.
New GT3 just arrived, so jumping on this thread. Does anyone have any experience with Kline systems? Looking at iPE and Sharkwerks, but Kline is also being offered as an option.
