I had the jcr exhaust on my 991.2 gt3 and I loved it. It wasn't loudest but it got noticed at WOT, zero drone (my most important point).

The 992 gt3, has to be the worst sounding 911 I have bought. So I am already considering the JCR. Not sure off getting rid of opf material at the same time, or buy another system that completely eliminates it.

If you go JCR rear section and do not remove OPF as well, you will have wasted your money. Tons of guys on youtube that will attest to an aftermarket rear section not adding much volume to these cars at all if OPFs remain. Do both or do rear section and headers (to remove OPF)

Aftermarket headers will remove the OPF as well, if you choose to go that route.
Your setup is exactly what I'm looking for. My only concern is trading the car back to the dealer at some point, with the OPF's hollowed out. Those can't be cheap to replace.

why would you need to replace them?

there no way any used sales manager is going to know or care

I agree. I installed a great exhaust system from BC Fabs. Stock headers. Very mellow sound - no drone, but no volume at all. Plan B: Install Cargraphic controller (purchased from Germany - $525 shipped). Fabulous at cold start, nice sound, but still lacking in volume. Realistally you're facing ~ $12-13K to get the vintage 991 GT3 sound/volume . .😒

I spent $1000 total and my car sounds incredible and better than any aftermarket rear section you can buy (the cats and OPFs are what make the car quiet).

Remove OPFs, add the cargraphic module and you'll be content.

I have full Dundon Ti Loud exhaust with the Ti extra loud inserts and the Cargraphic controller.

It is one of the best sounding cars now. Totally insane. Throughout the entire rev range and even when not pressing the accelerator. It's all giggles and smiles now.

It is supposed to be a notch below the minicrack in sound level. Yes, it does drone, but I don't mind. On the track it was glorious.

I feel very connected with the car and engine now.

Same here, I removed OPF and the car sounds perfect now for a daily/track car.

Does doing this make it louder in actual decibels recorded trackside. I have a few local tracks with max dB limits most days.

I have not actually measured but I have to assume it added decibels.

Tough thing to gauge but I'd say It's ~10-20% louder
