992 GT3 vs GT4 RS
#92
[QUOTE=Serge944;18666775]Not really sure what the fuss is all about. The GT4 RS doesn't go, stop, or turn...and the sound is obnoxious. See for yourself:
Awesome post.
Awesome post.

I’m fortunate enough to have one of each and really can’t decide which I like better. The initial turn-in on the GT3 is so powerful that it makes you clench your stomach, but the noises that the RS makes are truly fantastic. I tried to pick one, I couldn’t. They are very different cars despite sharing an engine. And for me, the PDK in the RS was just as fun at the stick in my touring. The 911 is all buttoned up for business, and it is gorgeous. The RS is ready to party.

Hey Guys,
I'm taking delivery of a GT4 RS at the end of December and I'm looking for a 992 GT3 owner (in Northern California Ideally) to come drive with us so we can film a comparison video of the two cars. You would have access to driving the GT4 RS all day while we filmed the GT3 and get to experience that. We're also going to be renting out Thunderhill 2 or 3 mile in February or March for a private track day to film an on-track comparison video with real lap times. You would again be able to drive the GT4 RS (and your GT3) on a completely empty track. You would just need to get to the location and pay for lodging.
If anyone is interested or knows someone who might be, please comment here or private message.
Thanks!
Chase (Car Honey)
P.S. Photos of the allocation attached (Shark Blue, Weissach, and White Gold Wheels).

I provided my 2021 Cayenne TurboS eHybrid as a filming platform for the on track videos - such an impressive vehicle and got to add some actual "pace" to the on track videos - subject vehicles had super fun chasing the film mule…
g-meter pic at the end of this post _IS_ the ontrack g's from the filming sessions at the 3 mile Thunderhill course…then I drove the same vehicle home in the rain w/massage seats going - I love my porsche's.

You've been busy Chase!
Thanks for the review! The quality of your video production is terrific.
Love the facial expressions in the car from 8 to 9,000 RPM!
And yes, coming from a 981 GT4 I would AGREE with your review of the 992 GT3 as having massive GRIP.
Like Griffin said, "It's hard to explain."
Cant wait to see your video from Thunderhill and the 3 way battle between the GT4RS, GT4, and GT3!

Can't wait to release the track video, thanks for your help Dave! Until then, here is our GT3 Street review just released. This will be the 992 GT3 we take to Thunderhill on our next video!

Our local track opens this weekend and I can’t wait to get the 4RS out there.
Keep up the excellent work.

I’ve driven both on the ring and after a half day with the 4RS my head was vibrating. It’s something about whatever octave the engine makes it reverberates in my skull and I just can’t shake it.

It is an experience you won't forget. Will go down as one of the greatest Porsche experiences.

Alright ya'll, for the Series Finale of "GT4RS Versus" we rented out Thunderhill Raceway and brought the Track Built GT4, a GT4 RS, and a 992 Manual GT3 to race, review and compare on track! We answer a few questions, including which build is the fastest on track, which is most fun to drive, and can an upgraded GT4 stay competitive with the GT3 and GT4RS? Hope you all enjoy it!

Three Porsche sports cars, they're all pretty good and better than 95% of cars on the track at any given time.
Basically, nice guys trying hard but with seemingly few unique insights or skills wanting to launch as tubers.

Opportunity missed on many levels.
No mention of "flat shift" features on GT3.
They should have had Dave O'Rourke put down laps (not professional but accomplished amateur) in each of the cars. ( then the camera car wouldn't have been able to keep up, so a passenger narrative would have been the alternative)
People can "huff and puff" about the GT4RS, and while taking nothing away from it, The GT3 is the far superior car which leaves your heart pumping instead of your head buzzing.
Don't get me wrong the GT4RS is a great car in all respects..but it is a stepping stone to a GT3. YMMV
