well, they are not driving it hard.
at limit GT4 is MUCH harder to drive than any 911.

and 992 as you said, no longer behave like what we are used to.
it does what you ask it to do, you still have to DRIVE it, but it will not argue with you.
front grips like FWD so you can enter turn fast
rear grips like old 911 at exit
mid corner is like go kart
some say it's easier to drive. well maybe, maybe not...
if you can really drive. you will want this car...
I sold my 4.0 b/c 992 !

and this car is brilliant at 20mph as it is at 150mph...
I like it so much I sold my dually and suv...
b/c I don't want to drive anything else. if stuff don't fit in my 992... well I guess I don't need that....
I too have had a 997 4.0 as well as every GT car Porsche has built since then, and this 992 GT3 is the best Porsche I have owned. It's phenomenal.

same here.

i owned and drove all multiple thousand miles:
996RS, 997RS´s, 991 GT´s and RS´s,...
as also GT4 Clubsport, normal GT4,...

my 992 GT3 Touring Stickshift was the best car and best P car i ever owned.
hopefully 992 GT3 RS will be better.
otherwise i will switch to 992.2 GT3 stickshift - and maybe this will be then the last and best (P) car!?
as the last 5 versions were... the last and best...

since 992 i clearly prefer 911 over the caymans.

GT4RS is fun (the sound, and a bit "overpowered" feeling) but ...

look at the video 992RS vs. GT4RS

and this comment:

"Even with the new GT4 RS, both Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond would still think that people who buy a Cayman/Boxster cannot afford to buy a 911."

It sounds like with GT3RS, you are buying a great car with a great engine. With GT4RS, you are buying a great engine in a good car.

Anyone who would buy a GTS over a GT4RS for money reasons is making a bad financial decision. Purchase price is only a part of the cost (or gain) of ownership…

Didn't say I agreed with them. Just another 911 snobbery. To each their own.

I put over 30k miles on two 991RS.

The 992GT3 is on another level...one that I can't come close to using at its fullest capabilities.

RS stands for Rennsport. One of those RS's gets through a 100mph corner 20mph faster. 20mph faster.
The OP posed a simple question. I think that answers it.

(Originally posted in the incorrect place)

Neither GT3RS of GT4 RS is a multipurpose vehicle, each have different (significant) track attributes for given preferences and skill levels. As alluded to, by many, the 992 GT3 deserves the crown with regard to multi purpose - and the Touring being more deserving of the title.

For me, the real realistic comparison is a GT3 (non Touring) versus GT4RS; that's a rear/mid engine preference/comfort issue (for the driver). The GT3 RS, on an advanced level, appears to be a more extreme declaration of performance and challenge - for those who have the inclination/skill to exploit it.

The more serious and committed you are, the more the 992 GT3 RS beckons.

having spent 2 days at max rev's in a GT4 RS - it's physically uncomfortable to run around at full tilt all the time in the GT4 RS - it is a loud loud vehicle.

I don't read the instrument. really I don't.
I been towed off track often for out of fuel or blown engine.
if I needed stuff to remind me what I am not doing wrong. I just call my mom.

we finally got GT4Rs for clients delivered. excited to hear it firsthand - anecdotal but I was approached by someone who is willing to sell their 4RS for a GT3 because of "how stiff the car is on the road". that frankly is why I sold my 19 3RS. it was not pleasant to daily. the track was amazing and it felt invincible there. the 22/23 GT3 on road is much more compliant and still wraps around you like an overly desperate cross fit girl.
